I would strongly recommend a bipod. You may not want the extra weight when hunting, but for this type of shooting, it will give you a level of consistency that you cannot achieve the way the you were shooting. It will really help in determining what kind of ammo your rifle likes.

Is it being heavy bother you? and how do you like it for hunting?

I use that same rifle in .223 for varmint hunting. Love it. Very precise on smaller red fox and raccoon without obliterating them, but I can drop a yote at distance confidently

3.5" at 100 yds is "not too bad"? Are you on drugs? That’s bloody TERRIBLE shooting! 4:02 No shit! You do realise that is a PRECISION RIFLE, right? I’d expect groups like that at 300 yards, not 100. Utter garbage.

I like this rifle a lot but also like the Savage 10 Stealth. So my question is which one do I buy?

What kind of scope is that or does anyone know what would be the best scope for this rifle

Always shoot 100 rounds through your rifle before trying for good grouping. The barrel needs broken in and you need to know the quirks of your gun.

2:04 Your hold of the rifle is nothing short of ridiculous. It tells me that you have no idea about the marksmanship principles or the application of them. No wonder your group was so big. You need to get some training. You’re not qualified to express an opinion about a rifle.

Its 1100 here in canada, I want to buy it and take it hunting but I’m concerned about the weight. Maybe I’ll just have to get stronger haha

There is a guy that makes a bolt lift kit for the axis. Make a world of difference installed one on my axis precision 2 and it make the lift action smooth. Worth every penny! Put a houge grip on it!
