Well I must have gotten a lemon cause mines a huge POS. The trigger broke right off within the first week and then I sent it back and waited to get it returned to me. When I got it back found that it was shooting almost 8 inches to the right and a foot high at 30yds. Drove the front sight over to make it shoot straight and hold low can hit a penny pretty consistently now at 30yds. Not worth trying to send back again. You get what you pay for
got mine for $129 at academy
bout one of these back in 07 for 119. .it came with a garbage little scope I sold on ebay for $30 bucks lol
Mine does’nt have sling studs so that kinda sucks.
Cant’ say I have a lot of rounds in mind maybe 500.. I tend to shoot 22lr in handguns more at the range. but other than dud rounds haven’t had any problems out of mine either.
the barrel is ridiculous if I ever get around to it im gonna chop it down to 16.1 but I don’t have any crowning tools.
I put a barska plinker scope on it so I don’t even care about the front sight if I chop it.
Can you put a scope on it
what’s the diff between a 64f and a 62F? I just bought a 62f at wally world for 114 plus tax. in these covid days, that’s a real bargain.
2021 In California I got one for $220 in Big Five.
My dad bought me one when I was little he put a scope on it and I had a blast with it I still have it and plan on shooting it soon
It a good deal to buy one that’s camo with a Simmons stock gun bag and 150 rds with it for 175
Hi Lucky, you must have gotten the one that works. All the other Savage 64 videos seem to be about how to make it work. One guy was gluing a match stick onto the magazine to keep the magazine from going to far into the rifle. Another owner was sanding the burrs off that were left by the factory. I have a Savage 64F, and so far, it hasn’t blown up in my face or refused to fire. I still wonder, however, how can so many people be wrong. After my wife proof read this, she uttered one word, that started with a B.
Savage Arms please change your racist logo. We aren’t and were never savages. Do better it’s time you take an active step in eliminating stereotype images of Native American people.
Do you know where i can buy extra magazines. Thanks.
where can i buy mags for this rifle??
So they make extended mags for them
I can bust a pimple on the fleas ass at 1500 m with my 64b
i really would not call that a tactical magazine
Dryfiring rim fire rifles is a big no no.
i thought you shouldn’t dry fire a rimfire
I had one and it was junk
I called gun magware house and left message with telephone no and never received a answer!!! Good Luck !!!!
Does it come with a kickstand?
got this gun for my 12th birthday
Hi Sooch00. Today I was at Canadian tire and I saw a few savage 64fss xp rifles priced at 289$. So they were scoped and stainless steel which I always like. I came home to watch some reviews on the savage 64. I’m glad that you said that there’s better triggers for the 64. 👍thanks take care bro.
I like it
My local Walmart has it for $175
Where can I find a scope mount for this rifle?
I’m about to buy one at my Walmart $172
I heard the first few rounds wander until u get factory burrs in the rifling worn in.
I got mine Ina trade fer a rock island armory one shot 12 so damn good deal
Since you actually know what you are talking about, I noticed you are dry firing, is it really that bad to dry fire your rimfires? Or are people on the internet just exaggerating as usual? Or is it one of those things where you have to dry fire it 100’s of times to cause any damage?
Is it better than the Mossberg/Rossi in your opinion?
Had mine since I was 10, I’m 29 now
Just did a deep clean resprayed her.. put well over 1k rounds before it was cleaned. Ran just fine, reliable.. Got mine for about $120
Bought one last yr at Walmart for 100 great gun for money
I just purchased this rifle today. I haven’t shot it yet, but it is a very nice little .22. Can’t wait to take my daughter out on her first gun shooting session with this bad boy. It is so budget friendly for all that you get!
What is the name of clip
I just bought a bolt action version and it’s great but the magazine is being replaced asap…it’s so trashy.
Best pest weapon I ever had!

I just made a fairly inexpensive modification to my Savage 64F. I installed a set of Williams Fire Sights on it. Williams does not list any of their Fire Sights for the Savage 64 or 62 .22 caliber rifles. I decided to try the fire sights listed for the Ruger 10/22 and see if they would work, and they did.
I drifted out the Savage front and rear sights. Drift out from the left side
of the barrel towards the right because the part that fits in the dovetail on the barrel is tapered. The front sight was harder than the back sight to get out.
The back sight came out easily.
The Williams sights went in easily. Again. The front sight was harder to drive in. The rear went in easier.
Before removing the sights you should mark the barrel with a pencil where the sights are centered so you can center the new sights.
The Williams rear sIght has a set screw to hold it in place once you have sighted it in and adjusted it.
Also the Williams Fire sIght has adjustable windage and elevation set screws.
Part numbers for these sights are Williams 060213 or Ruger 90340.
I have the exact same rifle – I purchased mine about a year ago for $99.00 plus tax – Very accurate at 100 yards – The reason why I say 100 yards is because I am having a hard time finding a range that is over the 100 yard mark. The only 200 yard rifle rang is more than a 22 hour drive for me.
I paid 170 at scheels great gun
Unreal. I paid $325 for this as my first rifle from a local gun store.
great little guns i bought my boy one for his first firearm. it shoots really good but im still a marlin model 60 guy. i have a few of the older ones that hold 18 plus 1. and they have a rifled barrel so you get better accuracy.
Fully auto spent 2k rounds and no bend in barrel. Canadians are on to something.
Why doesnt anyone make a 30rd mag? I can barely find extra 10rds
Verygood i from thailand พัทลุง
i wish I could find a new 22 with tubular loading.
For anywhere from $150-$200 CAD for the G model it’s a snag. For $200-$250 you can get the takedown aswell. An absolute steal of a deal! Love these rifles.
I love that riffle you show where can fine one.
I have that gun
i have that gun
