Shooting .22 PELLETS Using NAIL GUN Blanks
Shooting .22 PELLETS Using NAIL GUN Blanks
It is not recommended you try this yourself. But if you still insist, please read the precautions below.
We load up some .22 firearms with Crosman .22 pellets and drive them using “powder activated tool” rounds. (calling them guns would cause the masses to soil themselves in horror) These are used to drive nails into concrete or even steel. The lead Crosman pellets are about 14 gr. and fit nicely down the barrel of a .22 rifle or pistol. Snug enough to engage the rifling. This is really a hybrid round using 3 normally incompatible components.
This is just a demonstration on how well this hinkey and potentially dangerous combination works. Although it worked VERY well for us — your results may vary.
+++SAFETY WARNING+++
I do not want to green-light this idea to you. However, my telling you NOT to try it never stopped anyone from trying something. You need to understand the dangers if you do decide to try it. You are on your own if something bad happens. Don’t come back and post how your gun blew up and you lost some fingers.
+++ I believe it is important the pellets are seated IN the barrel rather than the chamber. This is because when the round is fired, the pellet probably will not enter the barrel from the larger chamber smoothly and will likely NOT enter the barrel at all, resulting in a barrel-obstruction. If this happens in a non-blowback style gun, the gun is likely to blow up. +++
CHRONO TEST! Check out this video!

The powder charges were MUCH louder than using standard .22 ammo. If you have a chrono and wish to attempt this, I think we’d all like to know how fast these are capable of going. I’ll put a link to your video in this one.

Why so clean holenin the locker?
just tried this with full size 22 lr blanks and almost took my eye out, be very careful what type of blanks you are using.
Ive made 5000 of these capable of being loaded via the MAG BIDEN CANT STOP US
Now what about a nail gun 22 cartridge in a pellet gun
So it seems to function how .22LR hollowpoints are SUPPOSSED to function
Does the nail gun .22 shells jam up?
شف الدلاخه والغباء من صوته أمريكي غبي ديس لايك يا مسلمين
My first break barrel riffle was a Mendoza.
Greetings from the year of our lord 2021
try copper pellets , (coated ) copper has a tendancy to go through metals at higher velocities . than lead to a point demo experts use copper plates with explosives to sheer through steel girders to great affect
What is the rifle you using in the first part? Is a it an airgun rifle or a real .22 rifle with blanks? Title is confusing
When I was 15-16 I had a Iver Johnson .22 & my "cousin" & I used to use those nail gun blanks all the time to scare or friends💯🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤣😭😭😅😅
Y’all should do a .72 air gun video
Do.22 revolver shootout.
22cal revolver and load up
why on earth wouldn’t you be able to fire these through normal firearms? Do they generate that much higher pressure than normal .22 rounds?
yea some elderly people that have unregistered guns here in europe sometimes use that for ammo since its cheaper , its good for shooting doves crows and rats when they come for the chicken feed , the rats just explode with guts everywhere, the doves at least get ripped open and the crows got some good damage as well
How far down do you load the pellet, using the muzzleloading method. I know on the video he has it marked.
FYI, I Gorilla glued the pellet to the tip of a .22 blank and shot it out from my 10/22 rifle and a 12ga ammo adapter from my shotgun, don’t be loading it down the barrel like the cavalry soldiers from the 1700’s good God!
barrel is not obstructed in a blank gun? I think it is in my country (France)
Congrats you reinvented the bullet to craft a "not a bullet, bullet"
I bought the blanks from Home Depot 100rds for $7 bucks and .22 pellets 200rds for $9.95 at 2021 price!
Wow
Wish I had my Remington Speedmaster back I had as a kid! 1000s of rounds shot through that baby!
That ditch melon looks like it’s got some pretty big seeds in it, you could get some that are past ripe and get the seeds and wash them and dry them then toast them, they might be really good.
Firing pellets this way you should pack them with Vaseline first. This provides the fuel for the diesel effect when the charge goes off and watch your speed go off the charts. But always leave dead air space to provide the oxygen & so the skirt of the pellets doesn’t get blown off.
did this and the pellet skirt got stuck to the chamber wall, oopsies o_O
Should get the red tips next time! Maximum power!
Hi Guys! Maybe it is time for a redo using your new slo-mo equipment!!
Everyone with a felony is watching this right now trying to get a real gun lmao
Soooo, I did it with a heritage .22/.22mag revolver and it works awesome, you need the poly jacket pellets, or itll sheer the skirts off in the cylinder! (Used power setting 3 and 4 blanks.)
Super cool video 🙂
This just seems like a 22 rifle with extra steps
Did you see the smiley face on the watermelon whit the tape on it kinda looked like a piret
When I was a juvenile delinquent back in the 90’s we used to tape pellets to the end of #6 purple tip ramset 22 and shoot them out of a homemade zip gun pistol and they were definitely deadly.. This is essentially the same thing. They can go straight through tractor tires too which is pretty impressive 😂
Wonder if that would work in a 22 cal AR a d blank….may want to pull the gas block first… don’t want the lead in that direct impingement or piston if you have a adjustable block
Hermoso
It works! I done it but you need to really clean the gun afterwards because it uses some kind of dirty powder. The high velocity of the pellet really does a lot of damage! You can also get an adapter to shoot pellets out of a 223 rifle using 409 shotgun primers to power it.
Guys, Gals, and Mer, please do be careful when doing this. My rifle busted and a piece of it nearly punctured my eye. Always use caution when operating any firearm use only recommend ammunition and always wear proper safety equipment and most importantly have fun.
Don’t try this at home ..ah never mind
Nicely done ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀 🙌 ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀 🙌 ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀 🙌 ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀 🙌 ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀 🙌 ✔ 👏 👍 👌🏼 😀
How much did you insert the Pellet? Or how
Many cm o mm are between the pellet and the nail powder (yellow) ty
Lmao that’s not a watermelon
how low on Walnuts can you be to think about shooting squirrels 😂 ?
Fired a 31 grain, .25 caliber air rifle slug out of a .25 caliber pistol once. I used a piece of Bic pen hull as a sleeve around a yellow ram set blank. It was so loud, with so much recoil, I was shocked. It absolutely destroyed a half gallon milk jug, and ended up in the third one. That water penetration translates into 16-18.5 inches into ballistics gel (depending on whose math you use). The barrel is only 1.125 inches, but that penetration is FBI acceptable! 😅
Get a benelli breach load 22 cal pellet rifle and it will go thru a 21/2" phone book or through a 11/4" star trek spock book, the plaster on a 100 year old wall, the wood slats behind the plaster , the exterior wood and the asbestos wall shingles covering the wall from a distance of appx 14 yards. Wont they Quincy?
I am totally buying some Crosman Premiers and some ramset blanks …. I think yellow might be a bit overkill, you might try green, then brown, work downward in power until you have a sweet spot of power and quietness, for pests and attacking ditch melons of course.
I did this during obama’s first term when 22lr was hard to find
This is so much trash lmao
I personally tried this and blew up my marlin
