Shooting the Ruger LCR 38 Special +P Revolver "This Sucker Hurts"

Can you handle shooting .38 Special +P ammo in the extremely lightweight, Ruger LCR revolver? I put over 70 rounds thru my Ruger and guess what it did to my hand.

Yeah, man! This is my next carry gun. Never underestimate the power of a wheel gun. Thanks for this!

    🥰🥰🥰

I have it in 327 magnum in 6 shots.
I shooted 3 shots in double action were very accurate. I love it.
I ordered 1911 too. Good feeling. I have many.

Going to be my carry revolver once I move to Arizona is a year or so. AZ has constitutional carry.

I could’ve bought other handguns for carrying but I just can’t bring myself to replace my LCR with anything else. It’s a great gun for it’s intended purpose.

Cool video. I handled one of these at a LGS and was surprised how small and light it was. 👍

I blame the cold even in summer. 😀

  10. Randy Chavez on April 30, 2023 at 4:03 am

Got the Hogue longer grip that comes on the 3" LCRX and put it on my 2" LCR and now I can shoot all day with it.

    diet soda lol

  12. Dauntless ASMR on April 30, 2023 at 4:06 am

Today, late 2021, I suspect most folks would buy the .357 Magnum version of the LCR with it’s slightly heavier steel upper half (as opposed to the .38’s aluminum one); and shoot .38 Special +P loads out of that instead.

Awesome video, might be best I have seen

    Shooting gloves are cheap.

  19. 789295 on April 30, 2023 at 4:12 am

I own both the LCR and the 642. Both are great, but I am drawn to the LCR more because of the better trigger pull.

    Walter Whites gun

    LCR + .38 Punch Ammo = Success…

  24. Isaac on April 30, 2023 at 4:15 am

They have a 357 magnum version now, the recoil must be significant. I still want one though.

  25. K M on April 30, 2023 at 4:16 am

I can’t say you didn’t sweat and bleed for this channel…

  26. Jeff Colwell on April 30, 2023 at 4:17 am

Checked out the Ruger LCR went with the s&w 642 instead but I like a 38 special with a little weight to like the rock island m206 or the m200

  27. chuckpeters1 on April 30, 2023 at 4:17 am

I’ve watched your video on the S&W 642 with the hogue grips. How does this LCR compare? Especially considering recoil and easiness to shoot.

  28. Bloopy on April 30, 2023 at 4:19 am

Would normal .38 special ammo hurt your hand?

  29. Chris Noyb on April 30, 2023 at 4:19 am

Thank you for the video.. My wife, for reasons I don’t quite understand, wanted a lightweight .38 snubby revolver, and she really likes the Airweight. She is now learning towards a heftier 357 snubby revolver, SP101, loaded with 38 +P. I can see "us" owning a lightweight 38, once the gun & ammo situation settles.

  30. Joshua1986 on April 30, 2023 at 4:20 am

I know this video is old but I just got this in 38 and I carry it in my pocket in a holster it’s so lite in just got tired of sticking guns in my waste band

  31. Real United States Republic on April 30, 2023 at 4:20 am

Better with outside hammer and 3 inch barrel.

  32. Godzilla Simpson on April 30, 2023 at 4:20 am

Great cheap revolver that packs a punch. Simple design and unlike 1911s which as much as I love slices you up holding it like shredding cheddar. This however you can hold and you don’t turn into shredded lettuce.

  33. Jimmy John on April 30, 2023 at 4:21 am

    Walter white gun

  34. Carmen Reese on April 30, 2023 at 4:24 am

Is this a good gun for a first time gun owner

  35. albert mcfry on April 30, 2023 at 4:30 am

Man your good with that LCR I bought one can’t hit a barn lol

  36. Ruger 44 Redhawk on April 30, 2023 at 4:31 am

Nice shooting as usual. How did I miss this one. I have the LCRx .38+p and it is a nice little pocket revolver. The trigger is nice on these. I do have some Buffalo Bore 158gr Outdoorsman hard cast Keith, or .357 short. I’m kind of interested in seeing how they will feel.

  37. John Shadow on April 30, 2023 at 4:34 am

You have proven the saying that snubbies are hard to shoot well does not apply in all cases. Very impressive shooting with that particular gun. Enjoyed the video a lot. Thank you

  38. Real United States Republic on April 30, 2023 at 4:35 am

    Great gun

  39. NightVan🚙 Second Father on April 30, 2023 at 4:35 am

Worse hand bite than your Colt 1911 hand bite made in 2021.

  44. albert mcfry on April 30, 2023 at 4:41 am

Good shot,I also have this gun. I really like it!

  45. mountain view on April 30, 2023 at 4:42 am

  47. kravenofspider on April 30, 2023 at 4:47 am

One of the most underrated channels on guns on the internet.

  48. SlushySki on April 30, 2023 at 4:47 am

Its good when it comes to scaring the living hell out of an intruder, but it doesn’t feel wonderful in your hands. Its pretty scary when you dont know when the trigger is going to go off, but if you want something light, efficient, scary and accurate it fits all of those perfectly.

  49. buddy tipton on April 30, 2023 at 4:48 am

This gun beats S&W hands down. I recommend this gun, I own this gun. I am a hard person to please but I’m pleased with this choice 100%.

  50. Tim Shelley on April 30, 2023 at 4:49 am

Great video! Got a buddy that carries one the ones in 357 mag. I’ve never shot it, but I dry fired it and it is a smooth trigger pull. I’ll bet its rough recoil with magnums!
