Who is Ron Spomer
For 44 years I’ve had the good fortune to photograph and write about my passion – the outdoor life. Wild creatures and wild places have always stirred me – from the first flushing pheasant that frightened me out of my socks in grandpa’s cornfield to the last whitetail that dismissed me with a wag of its tail. In my attempts to connect with this natural wonder, to become an integral part of our ecosystem and capture a bit of its mystery, I’ve photographed, hiked, hunted, birded, and fished across much of this planet. I’ve seen the beauty that everyone should see, survived adventures that everyone should experience. I may not have climbed the highest mountains, canoed the wildest rivers, caught the largest fish or shot the biggest bucks, but I’ve tried. Perhaps you have, too. And that’s the essential thing. Being out there, an active participant in our outdoor world.

Hey Ruger…. Instead of reintroducing new Marlin models…. How about you make the guns you already have catalogued and have back orders for?

  2. Albert Head on April 28, 2023 at 3:58 am

I bought a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 in 2002. Sold it in 2009. Regretted it ever since.

  3. Miro Svihorik on April 28, 2023 at 3:59 am

    Marlin 1895❤️👍

  4. Shane Leonard on April 28, 2023 at 4:02 am

Ruger bring back the .44 Rem Mag carbine!!

  8. boots fpv on April 28, 2023 at 4:05 am

Why don’t they get more trappers and sbls out first no one has them to purchase they are slacking

  9. Bob Harvey on April 28, 2023 at 4:13 am

Would be great if you could find some 3030 ammo and if you do, it’s less than $1000 a round

  10. JohnnyBoy Number5 on April 28, 2023 at 4:13 am

Wish they could build one for 460 and 500 S&W Magnums.

  11. Merrill Lewis on April 28, 2023 at 4:14 am

We’ll, I don’t understand why they kept the push button safety on that otherwise beautiful 336. I never could really rationalize an excuse for the addition of the safety. Superfluous and just plain stupid.

  12. Deplorable Covfefe on April 28, 2023 at 4:16 am

I’ve always wanted a 336. gotta have that pistol grip on the lever action.

  13. Mojo on April 28, 2023 at 4:18 am

awesome! love it, but I won’t be able to afford it, lever actions sure have gotten expensive it seems 😕

  14. archie mills on April 28, 2023 at 4:18 am

Now I want to buy another 👍🏻

  15. Hunting 4 Hookers Outdoors on April 28, 2023 at 4:18 am

These Ruger Marlin videos are interesting.
The question is, why does it take so long to tool up and engineer a rifle that’s been in production for 75 years?

My opinion is it creates fanfare and scarcity, thereby driving the price up.

  16. KrazyHouse Kreationz on April 28, 2023 at 4:19 am

    Next in my collection

  17. J Price on April 28, 2023 at 4:19 am

    Over priced

  18. Rob Roy on April 28, 2023 at 4:21 am

I’d be more impressed if it was in 35 Remington.

  19. David Last on April 28, 2023 at 4:22 am

I just ordered it. Can’t wait to shoot it.

  20. 72gunslinger on April 28, 2023 at 4:23 am

    $1000 yeah right😂😂😂

  21. T T on April 28, 2023 at 4:24 am

Wish Ruger would build a Trapper in 44mag.

  22. James Melton on April 28, 2023 at 4:26 am

They made everything <twice as expensive. I bought a Marlin 45-70 guide gun NEW in 08’ for $650 that runs like a top. All they did was add a picatinny and raise the price to $2k.

  23. Devin Loveridge on April 28, 2023 at 4:29 am

Been waiting to make this my first hunting rifle!

  24. Ronin4Actual on April 28, 2023 at 4:29 am

Hopefully Ruger turns the Marlin brand around. However, when will we have 30-30 ammunition on the shelves again?

  25. HoppingGnome, the on April 28, 2023 at 4:29 am

I saw a review of a new Marlin. That Marlin, straight out of the box, gor extremely smooth lever action.

  26. Edward Kaufman on April 28, 2023 at 4:30 am

I would love to be able to find 30-30 ammo. I had to buy a 300blkout because I can’t find 30-30 ammo. I hope they pump up production off 30-30 ammo.

  27. Shannon Dickinson on April 28, 2023 at 4:32 am

Hell I ain’t been able to find any ammo for my 30/30

  28. Da Pumbaa Weapons Hog on April 28, 2023 at 4:32 am

The 336 was my very first rifle I ever owned back in 1981 and I bought it at KMART. It’s incredible how things have changed.

  29. Gunpowder’N’Lead on April 28, 2023 at 4:32 am

    I love my old stevens 325 30-30. 30-30s and 30-06s just say `America’

  30. 8626John on April 28, 2023 at 4:33 am

I wonder how insane the price will be.

  31. deepwater-jew on April 28, 2023 at 4:37 am

Idk from what I’m seeing is that riger made them worse. Their QC is fucking garbage.

  32. Elias Horish on April 28, 2023 at 4:38 am

I wish they would get to Australia very soon ,336 30-30 stainless steel

  33. cwebb07 on April 28, 2023 at 4:40 am

What is the price though? The suggested retail on the marlin website is $1,239 and its definitely not worth that!

  34. classic240 on April 28, 2023 at 4:41 am

I don’t know much about guns but I think this gun is beautiful. What is the significance of this gun being chambered in 30-30 Winchester?

  35. Dan Christopher on April 28, 2023 at 4:42 am

Hey Ron….nice chatting with you yesterday ✌️

  36. River Otter Lures Eric Denson on April 28, 2023 at 4:42 am

    I want one for sure.
    Great short range hunting gun.

  37. BUZ1952 Z on April 28, 2023 at 4:44 am

    25-35 and I’ll buy one

  38. Michael Vogel on April 28, 2023 at 4:45 am

When it gets chambered in buck hammer, I’m in.

  39. EL DIABLO on April 28, 2023 at 4:46 am

My Marlin 336 has been my favorite hunting rifle for 37 years when I bought it from an old man as a teen in New York.

  40. Mike Herbelin on April 28, 2023 at 4:46 am

If you haven’t shot it I’m not buying

  41. mongolordofdarkness on April 28, 2023 at 4:47 am

    I want the 336ss. Let’s turn it into a co-pilot.

  42. William Gill on April 28, 2023 at 4:48 am

Now if they’d just do away with that damn abomination, the cross bolt safety.

  43. Ron Hunt on April 28, 2023 at 4:49 am

the first rifle I bought for deer hunting in Michigan was a 3030 marlin in 67. Got drafted in 68 so I gave my 3030 to my brother

  44. Kentucky Backwoods on April 28, 2023 at 4:52 am

  45. Nyc on April 28, 2023 at 4:52 am

  46. Mike Mellon on April 28, 2023 at 4:53 am

I have some pre Remington marlins and I’m excited about these new Ruger marlins. I hope ruger steps up.

  47. Paul Allen on April 28, 2023 at 4:53 am

Will there be a left handed model?

  48. Justin Thomas on April 28, 2023 at 4:54 am

Marlin has been a staple in my family for decades. I will definitely be buying one of these!

  49. Tyler Hulan on April 28, 2023 at 4:55 am

I’ve had hundreds of people looking for the 336 over the past 3 years or so. Can’t wait to get them back on the shelves. Hopefully the price isn’t too offensive.

  50. gray bailey on April 28, 2023 at 4:55 am

    I like it.
