It almost makes me wonder why cops in the 1970s didn’t carry the .35 Remington pump action rifle, or a .357 lever gun which could take .38 special. It would’ve provided accurate and reliable shooting platform.
Why the shotgun? Cause the bringing a snubbie to a shotgun fight is a recipe for getting rizzocked. 4 perps down @ 50 yards per gigablast, pellets know who the perps are for the win. 4 is a rookie number anyway that 4 buck coulda cleared the street. Bonus points for being the reason they had to make this video.

But seriously, please tell me this video was meant for some kind of remedial training course, because it should be basic common sense that discharging a scatter gun on a crowded sidewalk is a bad idea.
Police Story from the 1970’s was a great show. Im ashamed that I was too much of a coward to become a cop like my dad. I became an air force security police sergeant instead, but it isn’t the “real deal.”
I don’t believe this !…"All units !! We have spotted an open door on the south side of the warehouse ! Move in ! Move in !!" "Freeze, asshole !! WTF are you doing here in the middle of the night ??" "I’m the janitor." "Ah.."
The cop who was "stuck with a weapon" in this inane video was portrayed as helpless because he couldn’t use the shotgun with so many people around, and he couldn’t put it down. Duh! It’s still quite a club! 7:49
First of all with Buckshot 50 yards is much too far for range. Secondly the Shotgun does have a LOT of intimidation factor but over all a 5.56 Carbine with hollow points is far better in an urban environment where accuracy and penetration can be issues for collateral damage.
That red-orange Enstrom helicopter was an everyday-sighting in Pasadena back in the day.
Should had used 1oz Slug
these old police videos are still very informative even to this day.
You can whirl and blowww the guy away
“You can whirl, fire, and blow the guy away”.
Buy a shot gun. I told Jill, if you think theres a prowler, grab the shot gun. Go outside and shoot it in the air. Buy a shot gun.
LMAO ! The bad guy fires a pop-gun, and the cop retaliates with a hand cannon !
3:37 Hey! That cop is holding my Remington ‘police’ 870! Love that scatter gun.
So this cop went after three armed suspects alone….Shouldn’t he have waited for back up to arrive BEFORE he attempted the stop ?

Is the cop car a Chevy nova?

"AAH!" "Look out!" "Oh no!" OMG….This is the worse acting I have seen in my life !
B.S, all of it. I can smack 8 1/2 x 11" targets at 100 yards reliably. Are these guys subbing in 7 1/2 shot to proove a point?
The narrator kinda sounds like the guy from Crackdown. "Good work agent"
WTF would you take a shotgun to a job. WTH
“What can he do, turn to the little old lady and say ‘hold this for me will you’?”
Ummm I guess he can, little old ladies aren’t going to run off

Well, that’s handy – Everybody was labelled with arrows, so at least the cop would know who he was supposed to be shooting at.
ah yes, the classic remington pump shotgun
because nothing else can bring down one suspect and the eight bystanders around him
You take the butt of that shotgun and hit the guy with it….. It’s still a weapon that you can use….
If only someone would’ve invented the sling…
Why does the narrator tell us all the casualties’ occupations ? – Is that relevant ?
He missed the baby, what a noob.
yeah your best bet is emptying a 17 round PISTOL magazine into a guy in a wheelchair
And COp with ⚖️why you get that shotgun. Next verdict nobody has that shotgun😂
Slings have always been around
Flite control was not
Different time frames
That’s why you use a sling lol damn Thank god times n training have changed this is cringy
@6:31 you can whirl fire and blow the guy away .
FFS…The cop was carrying a hand cannon, why didn’t he just blast a hole through the fence, or throw the rifle over it first ?
why they not give gun sling to the shotgun?
Pellet California do not use guns in Calif .
Dirty Harry

2:30 No, three people were injured by an incompetent’s cop who had no business with a firearm.
Did they have qualified immunity in the 70’s?
What an idiot. You’d think this would be common sense.
Or put a slug in. Or federal flight wad.
I don’t believe this !…"All units !! We have spotted an open door on the south side of the warehouse ! Move in ! Move in !!" "Freeze, asshole !! WTF are you doing here in the middle of the night ??" "I’m the janitor." "Ah.."
@2:27 – Forehead grazed ?? And the understatement of the year award goes to…
25 yards? Mine Defendef 18” at 25 METERS -all 00 buck Winchester 2 3/4 hit target.
These stray must be anti gun Cocaine next free state movie
Male Ni, ❤ why Railroad hobo😂
If the Four-Buck gun only holds 27 pellets, how come there were 40 ?
Also, if you’re able to roll the perp over and cuff him that easily, he’s already a corpse. Call the meat wagon.
Dumb kids skated and stop at the zone of fire.
I know it’s the 70s, but I’m still sorry they had to drive Novas.
And that’s why you use the slugs !!!!

@8:22 uhhh no, he should have realized he could use the butt end to cave the perp’s skull in or at least bust his knee caps.
"Your only options are to hold onto the weapon" or maybe you could have just attached a sling to it?
