If you are looking for a capable laser range finder that can give you immediate ballistic solutions, check out the KILO5K by Sig Sauer…

The Kilo5K is a laser range finder with some cool stuff going on. Not only will it range targets out past 1000 yards (or meters depending on your settings), but it gives you ballistic solutions. So when you set up a ballistic profile, in the SIG BDX App, or one of the presets, you get good usable data. The laser ranges the target and then tells you your hold in either Mils or MOA, depending on how you have it set up. It does some other cool stuff too like take into account angle. And you can even drop waypoints with it using the other BaseMap App.

For hunting I have found this invaluable. It cuts a whole step out of finding a shooting solution. This saves time and shortens that window from seeing game, to being able to take a shot. It is a pretty cool rangefinder.

You can find the KILO5K 7x25mm Laser Rangefinder here:

Thanks for your video. May I ask which reticle you are using? From the video, I did not see you dial any holds. Thanks

At this point in the range finder game, the Sig Kilo falls short. Other range finders are pulling info atmospherics, the Sig does not.

I’ve heard of these a couple years ago that paired with a specific scope and would give the shooting solution in the scope reticle also but I like this also

What is the make and model of watch you are wearing?

Did you have any experience trying to range targets through small clearings in brush? Been considering this and the leica 2800. Ive heard the sigs have a pretty big beam divergence and has trouble getting through smaller holes in brush.

Nice I’ve been looking at this and the low end vortex spotting scope for some long range shooting. Picked up a delta 5 last year and still haven’t settled up my gear to thoroughly enjoy it. Thing shoots factory .5 moa

nice little piece of kit! been shooting long-ish range for 2 years, and I’m still missing a LRF, this looks like a good choice.

I think this also works with the garmin balisitic calculator

Just got mine Saturday, thing is stupid FAST! Looking to get the Sierra3 bdx 3.5-10×42 to go with it

  15. Todd Heimann on October 22, 2022 at 10:04 pm

Take it to the next level and get a Sierra BDX scope from Sig. The two talk to each other and put the hold in your reticle automagically. So easy it feels like cheating. The Kilo5K comes with AB Lite and will give shooting solutions to 800 yards. The 8K & 10K can solve farther out due to better software and environmentals onboard the rangefinders.
