The qd mount that comes with the mcx works great. Also using it doesn’t block any of your keymod holes.

one thing i feel you could get a LOT of views on……..due to the new Sig Spear military rifle…..
EXPLAINING HOW THE DAMN QD WORKS!!!
    .
i can now, FINALLY, see that its like a socket wrench/ratchet….. you press a button, a ball "retreats"….. and you can detach it
    .
but i was honestly worried about how secure this QD was….
NO ONE has talked about how it works
    .
    .
and clearly, these QD systems existed for almost a decade now (probably more like 20 or 30 years LOL)
but im not a tacti-cool dude….. i dont own an AR15 (yet…. imma get at least a lower….. i feel like a ban is ACTUALLY going to happen soon)
    .
    .
    .
    .
    anyway…. my point is….
im not familiar with all this new stuff (despite being only 27 years old)
i know how dog collar slings work on the 91/30….. or M1 garand style slings…..and my ruger m77 mk2 "sorta QD sling"
    .
but a "true" QD sling….. that like EVERYONE is using now days….
    i have NO IDEA!!!
    .
so i thought it just had a spring holding the ball bearing out……
and all you have to do is simply pull hard enough and it detaches
    .
again, i FINALLY found a video where someone detaches the sling ON CAMERA…..
and can see that it works just like a key chain…. or a "mechanics socket wrench / ratchet" (which i use EVERY DAY at work)
    .
BUT EVERYONE ASSUMES WE JUST KNOW HOW IT WORKS!!!!
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    anyway….. this looks pretty secure….
having to press that button to allow the balls to fall "in"…… thats going to hold VERY strong
    .
but i still feel (unless they use a VERY stiff spring)….. that you could still bump it, or a "knot" in your sling might press it
and suddenly your rifle falls to the ground
    .
and you KNOW its going to get 3 inches of mud in the muzzle
it will NEVER drop stock first LOL
    .
    .
    .
so, hey aftermarket guys…….. start making replacement springs that are like 5x stronger
you would probably sell a million of them (might even get a military contract)
    .
    .
    .
    but seriously….
as this new Sig Spear goes into troop trials…… and gets used and abused BY GRUNTS!!!!
they are going to find a way to QD the QD at the WORST possible time
    .
like screw it….. its my idea…. my copyright, trademark, and patent pending
and imma make a million bucks making a simple spring

BTW imma subscriber going forward. Picked up the Sig Thread and love it. And no it’s not a budget AR for the pros and no it all’s. Sig did that shit with this weapon system. I got much much much maybe too much help before buying a AR. It was this or the Saint. Overwhelming this was recommended by the YouTube channel pros. I’m a happy camper

*Very entertaining.>>>**ur2.pl/983** My mom is looking forward to having at marauding squirrels and armadillos after experiencing the ease, accuracy, and speed of plinking away at bits of wood thrown into a pond. Wife is proud of her deadly effect. 6 year old daughter operating it on a rest, holding it over a shoulder bazooka style giggled while whaling away at targets. Serious enough business though. The pellets embed further than you might guess into wood and through and through coke cans downrange. One CO2 cartridge took us 350 pellets about and was still going strong when stored it. Highly recommend getting an extra magazine with three belts, and maybe several of those kits. It’s tedious loading the belts and better to do sitting at a table. But I can’t downvote for that. That’s the source of your semi auto rate of fire.*

You should keep your weapon on safe until you’re ready to fire.

What about recent QDM swivels? Are those compatible with QD sockets on a firearm?

  13. Big Ray on April 25, 2023 at 4:35 am
