It’s the Springfield Hellcat versus the Sig Sauer P365. Therefore, we can honestly say that this was one of the best comparisons we’ve ever made. The reason is that they are both excellent handguns, particularly for CCW use. But who will hold sway?

Which weapon will win, the Springfield Hellcat or the Sig P365?

In light of this, if you’ve been following Springfield Armory, you’re presumably already aware of the teasers they sent out in advance of the launch of the new Hellcat. The teaser’s metropolitan atmosphere makes us think that a new CCW was on the way, as their most recent product was hailed as the best in its class in the entire globe.

And how accurate we were.

Once I put a Hellcat in my 2X hands I never looked back at the P365! Now my EDC is a Hellcat RDP

  2. Mathias Koch on March 31, 2023 at 3:14 am

Same price. Ok. In Switzerland cost the basic P365, 999 Swissfrancs and the springfield hellcat (HS H11 (red dot ready) 619. The P365X (without optic) 1199.- that’s the f*** double from the hellcat… 🇨🇭🤷‍♂️

At a gun shop near me the SIG 365 was selling for $630+ and the Hellcat was selling for $430+ depending on models. To me it seemed that the Hellcat gave more value because it was $200 less, and has a picatinny light rail where the 365 I was comparing only had a proprietary rail. JG Sales in Prescott, they have a website.

Bought an early P365 that had multiple issues (striker, FTFs / FTEs) with 2 unsuccessful factory repair attempts. Ditched it for an early Hellcat and had no issues whatsoever. Flawless, right out of the box and ever since. There was a recent video of the Hellcat torture test with 10,000 rnds with all +P ammo. It performed perfectly. It certainly deserves to be priced equally with the Sig. Sig has since fixed their quality issues, but initially there were many.

  5. Shawn Shipstad on March 31, 2023 at 3:19 am

When I compare price VS features, the Sig P365, in my opinion-needs the Wilson Combat grip module. These run about 70.00. The difference between the Sig grip and Wilson Combat-makes the gun feel like a fuller size pistol. I have smaller size hands. I could manage (And did) until I found the Wilson Grip module. It is like the exact difference. Sex with and without a condom. I do notlike condoms. I am 62 years old. I think I have used condoms -maybe twice in my life.I suffered with STD`S but it was worth it. I am not trying to be tacky or gross. The difference is that substantial. Best of luck to all you micro 9 pistol lovers. I am sold on them.

i like Sig , but lately i’ve noticed Q.C has went down hill. not to say not gun manufacture is perfect. ive returned almost most of my guns (recalls, safety issues) but my personal fav was getting the sig cross 308. taking to the range and showing it off. the fuking barrell was bent. sig fixed but that should of never made it past QC. i could of gotten hurt. anyway i just got the rattler… i dont learn.

  7. Bill L on March 31, 2023 at 3:22 am

    Love my Hellcat

  8. Jimmy Capps on March 31, 2023 at 3:23 am

Sig has had so many recalls and now lawsuits, with military and law enforcement agencys, including guns going off in holsters with no hand on the gun!!! Thats enough right there. Maybe i hipoint should be compared to this pos!

  9. Jim Saint on March 31, 2023 at 3:23 am

So the hell cat had no problems , the pro feels great in your hand ,is deadly accurate , the sig full of issues feels flimsy in comparison . But you pick the Sig ? Sounds fishy to me .

  10. Jimmy Capps on March 31, 2023 at 3:25 am

A carry gun should not have a light trigger… It should have a facktory glock type trigger. Because in the heat of a moment you could shoot your junk off or go off prematuraly! I now carry a glock so no biased here , just my own expieriance.

  11. Paul Woodruff on March 31, 2023 at 3:25 am

I carry the SIG… The he’ll cat looks like and ugly baby born from an ugly Block and an ugly XD….

  12. SeventyGTX on March 31, 2023 at 3:32 am

I’m in the market for one of these, but honestly cannot help but notice the Sig bias in the video. I saw two guys wearing Sig shirts, and no Springfield shirts. Also, they say the Sig is better quality, but no mention of exactly what was built better than the Springfield besides "feel", which is subjective.

  13. The Pupp on March 31, 2023 at 3:32 am

I know the video was comparing Hellcat vs P365. I have both. However, and just FYI, the H&K VP9 sub is an awesome firearm as well. I have both the VP9 and the sub, and both have a smooth action and very comfortable. Just FYI for ideas.

  14. Redskins 11 on March 31, 2023 at 3:33 am

I went to the gun store and held both in my hands. I took the Hellcat because it felt better in my big hands. It’s also more reliable.

  15. D LAW on March 31, 2023 at 3:33 am

Striker drag was fixed for the p365 by changing the tip on the striker. Upgrade your striker and keep original for a spare.

  16. J-Dog on March 31, 2023 at 3:34 am

I used both at the gun range before I bought an upgrade to my EDC Ruger EC9s. Hellcat and p365 were my only choices. I thought both shot well like you said, but the Sig felt better and I wanted to put more and more rounds through it. If you own a Hellcat, I can’t blame you but my EDC is the Sig p365 and will be until I feel the need to upgrade at some point. Some said I should have tried the S&W M&P Shield, but I don’t like the feel of it when I’m carrying it, it went to my wife , my daughter gets the EC9s.

  17. Harry Callahan on March 31, 2023 at 3:34 am

5:32 The word "callback" doesn’t mean the same thing as "recall" in my dictionary. And SIG Sauer doesn’t use "callback" when they need to do a recall (as in the case of P320), they called it "voluntary upgrade". I don’t think SIG ever did a callback/voluntary upgrade on the P365, because I bought mine in June of 2019, and it still got the same first gen striker assembly. And yes, it’s got primer drag. They never called/emailed/notified me in anyway for a "callback", till I called them as the gun disassembled itself during firing 🙂

6:34 Know why there were so few guns returned? Because SIG will charge you for shipping, BOTH ways, when you send guns back to them for repair. My gun disassembled itself in the middle of a string: the slide back plate came off by itself. It turned out to be a known issue that SIG had since released a newer version of striker assembly that make you bend a tab on the plastic sleeve inward then down (instead of just pushing it down) toward the firing pin tip, to remove the back plate. This resolves the back plate walking off issue, but they never contacted their customers who bought their guns earlier, still using the older style striker assembly – no "callback". They just waited till their customer experienced the issue, called for service, then charged them for shipping to fix it. So yes, I got my gun fixed. It’s got the newer version striker now. If it were Ruger I was contacting for this issue, they’d pay for shipping both ways, throw in a free mag for my inconvenience, then issue a recall 🙂

  18. quoththeraven7 on March 31, 2023 at 3:36 am

this guy is from overseas in Indiana, he hasn’t unboxed or handled either of those firearms, that’s why he’s using other people’s Clips! So WTF do he know? Lol! For the Money "I Spent" on my Hellcat the Gun shoots more accurately than the other Guns that I have because of the sites. But the finish on the Slide is Shit! if you don’t use a Soft/leather holster the finish is coming off immediately and that’s unacceptable for that price point. The G43x nor the Shield 2.0 have this problem

  19. RagnarFury on March 31, 2023 at 3:37 am

    P365 👍👍

  20. Harry Boyle on March 31, 2023 at 3:37 am

My P365 with Vickers Iron Sights is the most accurate CCW gun I own. To be fair I have never fired a Hellcat, it may be the best gun for some shooters. What was missing from your review was the argument of modularity. The Sig Sauer P365 & P320 are just FCUs (Fire Control Units). You can build custom hot rod guns for BUG matches around them.

One of the strange things about the P356 is the variations of sighting options. Plain P365 dovetails/No Optical Cuts are different from the X, XL, Macro and even the .380. Sig Sauer should really develop slide machining that allows both multitude of options for Iron Sights & Opticals.

Despite that P365 is a winner.

  21. Cabbageman on March 31, 2023 at 3:39 am

Is this channel even a real person? Does he even have or actually review guns? He keeps talking like he has done testing on both these guns, but the entire video is just B roll from other sources… This channel feels like a dude in a basement who never has touched any of the guns reviewed, and just summarizes his findings from other people’s reviews

  22. Jimmy Capps on March 31, 2023 at 3:40 am

I had the hellcat for two years and had no issues whatsoever. I then thought i was upgrading to the sig 365 x wich turned out to be a piece of crap imo! I bought the $50 15 round mag for the sig and after the second mag the rounds fell through the bottom of the mag, and how embarrasing! The trigger was soft but couldn’t tell where it would break. Ill never own another sig unles its a 226/229 type sig. My opinion, the hellcat blows the sig away and would really compare it to the glock…

  23. Rich B. on March 31, 2023 at 3:41 am

I own both and like both. The P3565 is easier to conceal but both shoot equally well in my hands. Both of these pistols are a little snappy but they are expected to be for their size. You can’t go wrong with either of these guns for defense, it’s just a matter of which feels better in your hands.

  24. Russell Rudolph on March 31, 2023 at 3:42 am

Hellcat snappier, sig all day every day, hence p365.

  25. Barone di Piemonte on March 31, 2023 at 3:42 am

I’ll take the basic sights version of the Hellcat everyday twice on Sunday.

  26. John Addamo on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

This guy was payed for by sig, there both good guns it depends on what you like I hate reviews like this the hellcat is built just as good if not better I have both and and like them both

  27. Andrew Kirkpatrick on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

I handled both….I chose the Hellcat due to simplicity, accuracy, and capacity, size was important but they are both very small

  28. staci green on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

You chose Sig because of the name

  29. Jake Black on March 31, 2023 at 3:44 am

The cold hard facts is the P365 "seems" great but there are reliability issues still and while I like so much about it, reliability is number one and Sig took a major hit trying to dismiss/minimize the problems and attempting at first to avoid fixing.

  30. JB on March 31, 2023 at 3:45 am

I own both and I like them a lot , but I always carry the hellcat with me !

  31. MUSTANGS1 on March 31, 2023 at 3:47 am

    Sig 365

  32. Robert Glover on March 31, 2023 at 3:48 am

I own a Springfield XDe which is SA’s only DA/SA pistols and I just bought a P365XL and a 365in 380ACP for my wife. It’s not at all fair to call the Hellcat a value pistol. The Nitron Finish on XD pistols is hands down better that the Nitron Finish on the P365. It’s not even close. And SA XD and Hellcat Magazines are hands down better quality than P365 Magazines as well. The main reason I chose the 365XL over the Hellcat Pro is because of the Manual Safety Option. But I also like better the feel in my hand of my XL. A huge reason to select the P365 Series over Hellcat is the Modularity of the 365 and all the aftermarket products Grip Models. The Wilson Combat Grip Module on the 365 XL with the weight kit added to the grip feels wonderful and make the pistol feel softer when shooting and not snappy at all. It’s a must have!

  33. Albert Brewer on March 31, 2023 at 3:50 am

    BS hellcat all the way..!

  34. Nico D on March 31, 2023 at 3:52 am

New generations of the 365… all day everyday (pun intended).

  35. Scott Johnston on March 31, 2023 at 3:53 am

The hellcat beats the standard 365, but the newer X Macro is my go to for conceal carry. The flat trigger, the slightly larger grip, the built in comp combine to just make the gun feel so smooth and the felt recoil is considerably less. Plus the standard 17 round mag and interchangeable back straps just make it my go to.

  36. Eric Clay on March 31, 2023 at 3:56 am

i dont own either but looking to get one but as far as price and for this to be posted 6 days ago seems the hellcat is cheaper every where i live and i my self am questioning the reliability of the 365 and sig. to there is just to much floating around about law suits and the gun and even the p320 seems the hellcat is looking like a better buy

  37. Zay Satori on March 31, 2023 at 3:56 am

17 round X-Macro magazines are compatible with the P365 and stick out slightly less than the 15 round mags do, that’s worth mentioning

  38. tubaboy71 on March 31, 2023 at 3:57 am

Anyone who says a p365 has a great trigger leaves me scratching my head 😲

  39. Ge Mor on March 31, 2023 at 3:59 am

For me, the key difference between the two pistols, why I would never choose the Hellcat, is that there is a P365 MS version with a manual safety. Anyone who has almost inflicted a "Glock leg" on himself with an accidental shot 2 inches in front of his own right toe when putting a striker-fired pistol back in the holster knows what I’m talking about. If you activate a manual safety before putting the pistol back, something like this is impossible. If you need to draw the P365, it is very easy and very quick to deactivate the manual safety with your thumb while drawing, without changing the position of the pistol in your hand. Thus, the manual safety of the P365 is not at all a disadvantage compared to the Hellcat – on the contrary, this manual safety is the decisive advantage! If Springfield also would offer a manual safety version of the Hellcat, that might change my dislike of the Hellcat.
In general, I believe that every pre-cocked or partially cocked striker-fired pistol should have a manual safety. If that were the case, the term "Glock leg" would not exist at all.

  40. Kevin Slobody on March 31, 2023 at 4:00 am

Owned both. Sold my 365 due to rust on gun, rust on mags and was leary of it going off in holster. Hellcat is awesome

  41. Jose Flores on March 31, 2023 at 4:00 am

I bought my wife the Sig P365 and the Glock 43X. She chooses to carry the G43X. The mags only cost $20 while the other unit mags are $50.👀 I think the Hellcat mags run about $45, and that’s not cool either. So…….ya know. 😒

  42. StarWarNerd on March 31, 2023 at 4:01 am

    Sig all the way

  43. Tony Arellano on March 31, 2023 at 4:01 am

Just did the same thing had both guns on my nd the Hellcat went home with me! Nicer ergonomics and I already have one in FDE so now I got the black one with the Red dot .

  44. Chase on March 31, 2023 at 4:01 am

I have both guns and the P365 is good but the Hellcat is by far my favorite and My EDC

  45. Rob Clifton on March 31, 2023 at 4:02 am

I’ve shot the P365 three different times in the past few years and have always really liked it, but when I was ready to buy, I picked the Hellcat. I’ve got maybe 1500 rounds through my Hellcat and its my EDC with the Shield red dot and an Armalaser. I can be very accurate at 25 yards with the red for. The Indiana food court incident got my attention that God-forbid, but situations happen where the threat needs to be stopped from farther away. I like the high quality and reliability of the Hellcat, and the magazines look to be polished stainless steel. The grip feels a little blocky for me and the back end of the grip at the mag well and the grip texture are harsh on my skin with appendix carry. Overall I like the Hellcat so much that I bought a second one so I can practice without a sight and laser and still keep my EDC set up. The iron sights look great, but I am not very a accurate when using them. Good luck

  46. Loaded Hog on March 31, 2023 at 4:02 am

Sorry friend, but the majority here disagree with you. The Hellcat is the one I’d bet my life on.

  47. Spicey Meatball on March 31, 2023 at 4:02 am

These guys are clearly sponsored by Sig lol. I sold the P365 almost immediately! The trigger is not crisp! Its a mushy, sloppy trigger. Frankly its the worst trigger I have ever experienced in my life! The mags are poorly finished and the extended mags are cheaply made with the plastic loose instead of being properly attached. The hellcat is a way better gun and I kept mine! Better trigger, better quality, more rd capacity and better mags. I paid less for the hellcat than I paid for the P365 and got the gear up package with extra mags. So I do not know why these guys are going on about price.

  48. Common Gunowner21 on March 31, 2023 at 4:03 am

Lol, sig is better, NM , the broken firing pin, trigger reset spring breaks , you forgot to mention the rust issues.ofcourse way better then the hellcat …..SIG365 is a nice gun but sig needs better QC …..I think i would stick with what doesnt break.

  49. Spencer on March 31, 2023 at 4:07 am

I like the modular design of the p365. Just got a metal grip module for an all metal gun. Can’t do that with the hellcat.

  50. Rambo1776 on March 31, 2023 at 4:12 am

Sponsored by SIG! Thanks for watching.
