Sighting in a Sig Romeo 5 on an AR-15 Pistol

In this video I take you step by step on how I sight in a new optic, be it an RDS (red dot sight) or mechanical sights.
.
This video focuses on the Sig Sauer SOR52001 Romeo 5, but these methods should translate for most use cases.

It really helps to have a spotting scope when you are targeting anything at a distance. In our case, we are sighting in at 25 yards so the spotting scope helps a ton! We are using the Vortex Diamondback, but you really don’t need anything that fancy.

Some people just like wasting time and ammunition. Get yourself a laser borsighter. You will be able to hit pop cans on the very first round at 100 yards. Also the dust covers for the elevation and windage on the Romeo 5 have screwdriver tips on them. You’re welcome.

Did you ever discover the trick? 2 second push on the intensity button will turn the optic on.

Great video man — I have a Troy Industries P7A1 5.56/7.5" AR-pistol with a Romeo 5 on it. I zeroed my iron sights ‘first’, and then zero in on the red dot for a co-witness. I always go with a 25 yard zero, and nail down the different holds at longer distances, they’re usually not too far off inside of 300 yards. (I noticed that between my 16" & 7.5" barrels, the holds at distance aren’t too far off from each other.) The sight holds zero quite well, and after over 1,000 round through it, the zero is right where I set it the very first time. The P7A1 has proven to be one heck of an accurate & reliable gun. Be well, and be prepared for the worst life that we’ve ever lived in the coming years. — Jason/Freedom Fighter/Sheep-Dog/Unjabbed, Unmasked, Unafraid, & Prepared For The Worst/PA, USA

Where did that grip come from

  10. Desert Tactical on March 14, 2023 at 3:10 am

Hahaha. That intro. I found a 36yd zero works really well for an AR pistol.

I stopped watching after I saw the skeletonized red anno grip. Only a (redacted) would use such a thing.

Did you just say 223 wylde cartridge? The 223 wylde is a barrel designed to fire both 556 and 223 more consistently. There is no 223 wylde cartridges lol

  18. Sheldon McNary on March 14, 2023 at 3:23 am

When take the cap off tune the cap around and you can use the cap to sight it in

  19. georgemiller245 on March 14, 2023 at 3:27 am

The caps on the windage/elevation are the tools for adjustment.

  20. Killian Ryan on March 14, 2023 at 3:32 am

Can you use your iron sights thru the sight if it ever potentialy died?

  21. civilian000 on March 14, 2023 at 3:33 am

Yeah man got me sum dat hagh pahrr 556 none o dat 223/223 wylde. Them mechanical optics are nice boy!! Got my brace stock on this pistol, not no fixed stock though! 😂

  22. Oscar Collins on March 14, 2023 at 3:35 am

The caps on the windage and elevation adjustment have built in ability to be used to adjust the sight.

  23. Tatts on March 14, 2023 at 3:36 am

Bruh. You have to hold one of the brightness buttons down lol.

    Excellent video! Much appreciated.

  27. Matthew Perakes on March 14, 2023 at 3:39 am

The Romeo 5 is MOTAC – if it falls asleep, press the + brightness for two seconds, it will turn on. The caps for windage and elevation have an elevated piece to make the adjustments without tools. The ridge is on the caps.

No saint here but the opening was a real turnoff. Leave your vulgarity at the house! Not all ppl that like to target practice are foul-mouthed neanderthals.
