SK Standard Plus 55yards, Tikka T1x .22lr accuracy review

SK Standard Plus 55yards, Tikka T1x .22lr accuracy review

This is SK’s most budgetpriced 50 pack of .22lr rimfire ammunition. It’s a favorite among rimfire shooters because of the quality you get a a reasonable price. It works great in both pistols and rifles. Because of the moderate velocity it should also perform good with supressor. Hope you like this review! If yes, consider subscribe.

As usual I use my Tikka T1X with my trusty Zeiss Conquest 6,5-20×50 on top.

If you would like to see tests of more ammo you will find this on my channel. There I’m in the process of conducting a huge ammotest where my goal is to test all the following ammo;

Some are sold out, or unavailable at the moment, but I have 70+ of these at hand already. I will use my Tikka T1X with a Zeiss Conquest 6,5-20×50. Shooting will mostly be done prone, but I will be using a shootingrest when available. Range is 50 meters, or 54,7 yards. I will first run 10 shots over the chronograph to get an accurate velocity reading and prep the bore for the ammo I will be testing that day. I will then shoot five five shots groups to obtain an average group size. I will be dividing ammo into groups. They will be as follow; bulk, standard, match, high velocity, subsonic and specialtyammunition.
The results are of course valid in my rifle. In your guns they may group better or worse. Rimfires are notorious for this.
I’m looking forward to doing this test and share the results with you all!

    Nice. My rifle do average 10mm groups with the SK Standard at 50 meter.

    Dude I’ve watched enough of your videos and this is the conclusion I’ve come to..either that gun just is not accurate at all or you need to stop shooting prone because you’re doing none of it justice. I have yet to see a decent set of groups from any ammo I’ve seen you shoot and this SK should have got you a lot better grouping and some other ammo you’ve shot also. Try these all from a bench and if they still aren’t grouping good…time to sell that gun or upgrade the barrel or add a tuner. My Ruger Precision Rimfire shoots .25 inches or better at 50 yards with middle of the road ammo. And under .45 at 100 yards. Amd that was a $450 rifle and it’s bone stock.

    I shoot this ammo in my Browning t-bolt target/varment and it loves it. I don’t just shoot the bullseye. I shoot the bullseye and then shoot the bullet hole in the bullseye.
    It’s that accurate. I’ve never had a .22lr or bullet combination be so accurate in my 54 years. It’s a squirrel’s worst nightmare.

    Thanks for sharing. I get similar results with my Ruger 22 rimfire PR. I have found sorting the SK Standard + by weight also helps.

    Thank you for these very precise tests, you let the rifle do the talking!
    My CZ 455 loves this ammo!

    The algorithm brought me here. I’m a rimfire junkie and never heard of you. I dig this kind of content so im like #60 and no down votes as of my time here. I subbed so keep it up.

    good shooting, and nice video

    I was shocked at the average velocity. I have a vudoo and chronographed SK Standard Plus and it averaged at 1073. Now each rifle is different and each lot of ammo is different but 56 FPS seems very large difference even between lots or specific rifles. I am not saying your Chrono is wrong, just that I was stunned at the low velocity.

    This ammo seems to have a lot of potential. Please try sorting by weight and rim thickness to see if it could be even more accurate.

    This is my go-to for my CZ457.
