  2. Adrian Firewalker on August 18, 2022 at 8:05 pm

    Good…..

  4. RB M on August 18, 2022 at 8:08 pm

Moon clips are better. Faster reloads. Slower without them even if using speed loaders.

  5. Eli Kess on August 18, 2022 at 8:12 pm

9mm is more powerful than 38…

  6. Sam Fan on August 18, 2022 at 8:12 pm

I have own both model 547 in 3" and 4" since 1982, I only have the 3" left, had to sell the 4" back in 2005 needed the money. the price was around 375.00 when we got them now my 3" could sell for 1,900 and I have combat grips on it. Back in the day I had 3 others at one time, wish I knew more about them in the 90’s. I’m a big fan hickok45 I watch your videos all the time.

Doesn´t anybody know if the heat treatment
of this model 547 revolver is different to any model 10 of the same period of time (age)? or Did they have the same heat treatment?. I asked because the 9mm Luger has more pressure.

  9. Sven van Heun on August 18, 2022 at 8:19 pm

    Your a good shooter

  10. Michael Blank on August 18, 2022 at 8:20 pm

I like these 9mm revolvers, but why not make a 9mm Revolver that can take different 9mm ammo. Like (9×29) 9mm Win Magnum and the (9×27) 9mm Mauser Export, not to forget the 380 (9×17), and others. I guess the Taurus 692 is the closest to this.

  11. t spez on August 18, 2022 at 8:21 pm

  17. DR N on August 18, 2022 at 8:25 pm

9mm revolver is the best protection tool . Easy to carry , stable to shoot without jam and accident. 6 shot is enough for self-deffence. simple to mentainance.

  18. theMekanik on August 18, 2022 at 8:26 pm

Holds your shells…. but you throw spent rounds out 😂🤣 best part 👍🏻

  19. cvc on August 18, 2022 at 8:27 pm

The funny thing is I watched this because I have been looking for a M-13 in that configuration myself. Why the heck won’t Smith make another run of those wonderful M-13’s ???

  20. Muddy Puddles on August 18, 2022 at 8:29 pm

    Wow, spyderco knife.

  21. James Revell on August 18, 2022 at 8:30 pm

Why would they discontinue this gun. Seems like it would be a big seller today. I’m looking for something like this now. You can find these used for around $2000. That’s a little more than I would pay for a 40 year old handgun that I would like to actually use regularly. I’d certainly pay that for a new one but I’m not a collector.

  22. Don Blake on August 18, 2022 at 8:31 pm

So impressive! I’ve heard about these Guns but this is the first Video I’ve ever seen of the Model 547. I saw one in person once when I was a Kid. Very cool Gun! Cool Video!

  24. HOTRAIL Productions on August 18, 2022 at 8:37 pm

It appears that 9mm revolvers were quite popular back in the day.

  25. Joshua Dell on August 18, 2022 at 8:37 pm

    Could it work with 380

  26. Pat Ryder on August 18, 2022 at 8:39 pm

I got one of those because I had a STEN, and it was cheap and I wanted to buy only one pistol caliber. I shot a few hundred rounds through it, but quit shooting it when the price skyrocketed. It is still my bedside/front-door gun (when you are not 100% sure why someone is at your door but decide to open it anyway, with right hand out of sight behind the door). Once the paperwork goes through for my suppressed 9mm, I’ll clean the 547 and seal it up and store it. But when I was shooting it, it was extremely accurate and 100% reliable.

5/1/19 I just spoke to a rep from S&W…Hoping that they make a model like this in SS…..That rep told me the 547 required a moon clip…..I tried to hell her I saw this video….But she wouldn’t concede…..So…..I guess this video is a FAKE ???….LOL

  29. ruger 38 on August 18, 2022 at 8:42 pm

  42. Rohan Balram on August 18, 2022 at 8:57 pm

  43. cjcoolmoed on August 18, 2022 at 8:57 pm

  44. Wayne Powell on August 18, 2022 at 8:58 pm

Do you know of anyone today making a similar Revolver to the 547 in that it does not need moon clips and a 3 inch or less barrel ? Looking for a CCW to alternate with my Glock 26. Thanks for any help or guidance. Really like your Videos and opinions .

  45. Sonny Gunz on August 18, 2022 at 8:58 pm

I’d love to find one of these.

  46. FushigiWiggles on August 18, 2022 at 8:59 pm

Ah back when ammo wasnt scarce and didnt cost as much as a california gas prices a round.

  47. Ernest w Wal on August 18, 2022 at 8:59 pm

Smith makes the most beautiful revolvers made. Ruger is next. Mine is a ruger 509. I hate they made it that it needs clips. But still love a 9mm revolver. If ruger ever comes out with a clipless 9mm im on it.

Doesn’t Korth make a cylinder to convert a S&W to 9mm in a similar way without need for moonclips?
