South Africa Explored, Knife Crime In Cape Town (Reggie Yates Documentary) | Black/Current

Reggie Yates spends a week at a Cape Town hospital where, on any given weekend, the doctors deal with up to 100 stabbings and assaults, with 80 per cent of those admitted under 25.

Black/Current is a space to provide both educational and entertaining content primarily by or about Black people. That’s Black Brits, Black Americans, Black Africans, Black Canadians, Black Australians and so forth. There is a really loud desire for diverse voices and stories and we want to be a part of that conversation.

There’s so much evil spread all over the world like cancer or a virus that has no cure…it’s so sad. That’s how I Know we’re at the end of our days! Evil needs to be destroyed, the only way it can be destroyed it’s by destroying the route of the source. Unfortunately, ppl are meant to destroy each other! That’s why now more than ever we really have to repent from our sins n hold on to God so that we can be guarded n safe from worse things to come…. believe when I say, there’s worse things to come.

I lived in Cape Town in the early 1980s. The gangs were not a feature in those days. Now, CT is known for gang violence – in certain areas. Lots of little kids dying in gang related shootings. I don’t know why this changed, but South Africa is now a country with high levels of violent crime. It’s shameful.
