Stevens Model 320 Pistol Grip Pump Shotgun – Is It Really Worth $200 ??
Today my son and I test the Stevens Model 320 Security 12 gauge pump shotgun. Is it really worth two hundred bucks? We shoot slugs, buckshot and birdshot at various targets and blow the crap out of them to find out.
I bought one 12/20/2022 for $140 brand new at a salvage store.
I always like your videos. But your son needs some work on his Rocky. A lot. But I’ll still keep watching. Can he do PeeWee Herman?
289 new at my local gun shop. Ouch!
Those poor Go-Pro cameras! LOL!!! π
I love mine. Very reliable but a hard shooting gun. This firearm is at the ready in my home.
Just picked one up for $190.00
Just found one in my local pawn shop as well,210.00 before tax, I will be adding it to my collection! Thanks for the video, have a great day ππ
This was one of the first shotguns I bought. I have the 20 gauge version with the ghost ring sights. My coworkers and I took it for its first spin. Performed beautifully without any issues.
One of my coworkers, a young lady, particularly liked it. It was her third time at the range and her first time operating a shotgun. She handled herself and the shotgun very well. She wants one now and Glock too π. I’ve been trying my best to teach her and the others everything I’ve learned thus far, and she enjoys shooting and learning.
Thanks for your reviews and primers on firearms handling. I’ve learned a bunch from you and now I’m teaching others, bringing them into the world of firearm ownership. Life is great.
Kids in Africa couldβve ate that ..
When I went shopping for a budget shotgun to keep by the bed I went to your videos. I checked both the Stevens 320 and the Maverick 88. Ended up with the Maverick. I paid $220 for it out the door. I am very happy with my decision. It is everything I want in a cheap home defense shotgun. You actually sold me on it. But I may go and grab this Stevens as well. No harm in having a backup.
Iβve got it with the pistol grip and ghost rings.
A little more manageable on close quarters.
Great video. I have the same shotgun. Love it.
Yooo my guy in the back fucken it upππππ€£π
This is basically a Winchester 1200/1300 Speed Pump Clone…. just so happens to be my favorite shotgun of all time.
My wife just won one of these from a Vance Outdoors raffle in Ohio lol. Another reason for the ATF to come knocking lol.
I have 2, but I couldn’t possibly in good conscience buy an evil terrorist type pistol grip model….. because I got mine new for a steal….. I can sacrifice the pistol grip ….. fun …..kicking "plinker"
I really love this weapon. I’m thinking it’s about perfect for me.
A very close friend recently died and his widow wanted to get rid of his guns. Her options were sell them to a dealer, give them to the police or sell them to me. We agreed on a price which I guess was more than the dealer offered. He had 6 guns 2 pistols a Canik TP9V2 and an older Bersa hi cap 380, 2 rifles a Mossberg Patriot in 308 and a Remington manufactured Marlin 336Y in 30/30 and 2 shotguns a Chiappa Double Badger 22lr/20ga and a Stevens 320 Security model with FDE furniture, pistol grip, heat shield and ghost ring sights. When I went to pick up the guns everything except the Patriot and the Double Badger were fully loaded. The Stevens was loaded with mini shotshells and when I cycled them through the action I had no problems, still until I can take it to the range and test it myself I don’t think I would trust it with minis for serious social encounters. I have several other guns I know I can depend on including a Maverick 88 FDE Security model with an OpSol clip and an 870. Love your videos for their honesty and their entertaining presentations.
2 years late but enjoyed the video! Merry Christmas!
Just picked one up today! Great gun for the $$$$$ for sure worth it!
Yep! I just purchased a Savage 320
with fiberoptic front sight and ghost ring.
I had an older model before but I sold it.
So I got a newer model and ready to ROCK.
Paid $225.00, not bad at all.πππΊπΈ
It’s nice to watch a father and son do something together these days. Don’t see it very often
Thanks for the video guys…I have one on the way. Really looking forward to testing it out. At todays pricing I picked mine up for a pretty good price too. Woohoo!
At least in Texas you can carry one without any repercussions. Thanks for your videos. I saw one at Academy for 279 with heat shield and ghost ring. Still worth 279? Glad your son has a sense of humor.
Yes I must have this gun, I’m guessing the pistol grip is ok but I’d rather have the original setup…ah well
YO ADRIAN, I LOVE MY SHOTGUN!πππΊπΈ
Have you tried removing the magazine spring holder? When you do that with the Pardner pump, it’ll hold 6+1.
@mixup98 hey glad to see you have a stevens 320 12 gauge i have one like that minus pistol grip ive shot it some its a great shotgun but i still have to say aint nothing like a good ole american made mossberg shotgun
I got mine used, looks new, $130
I like stock better that the other oneβs they come with
Need help with the inches size, is 2.75 the same as 2 3/4 Iβm looking at ammo online and it says 2.75 sometimes, sorry for the dumb question
I think itβs so ugly but dude it could be worth $100 and would still be reliable, you know why? ITS A DAMN PUMP!!! It can never be beaten. The guard on the pump is better than mine and my pump is worth $700 by Winchester.
Anything thatβs a pump American made, it doesnβt matter how much it cost, itβs reliable.
Thank you for the info guys! Take care
I paid 270 for mine with a heat shield and pic rail great shotgun I love shooting it and love the pistol grip cuts down on recoil I’m left-handed so the bolt release is very easy for me to operate I can’t speak for all lefties but I shoot long guns left-handed but handguns right-handed.
One question on the model 320 shoot gun do you know if when the gun is empty is the safety on the one that I have you can’t move the safety with out it having one in the chamber?????
Just picked one up that came with a 25"and 18" barrels βοΈ
Great video!!
I got one three months ago for $174 before tax, new in box. Regular stock, ghost ring sights. I have multiple firearms for home protection but this one does the job for a pump shotgun. I donβt need an $1800 Benelli.
Man I love you two so much makes me proud to own a shotgun
Can you buy an extended magazine tube for the Stevens 320 , 28 inch barrel
Nice review. I got my 10 year old son the 320 field youth in 20G last year. He has shot trap and dove hunted with it. We have probably 250-300 shells down it with zero issues. We dove hunt in the SoCal desert and I can tell you dirt/sand in the action and trigger group did not slow the shotgun up.
I have one for home security are firing out in the desert at targets for fun and I’ve got to say. It’s the most "bang for you buck" if you will in the way of 12 gauges. It’s as close as you get to the old Winchester 12 gauge. Fantastic firearm!
I’ve got the stevens 350, mossberg/maverick 88 security, and a Turkish tactical gun – I also have a mossberg 590, 930 and a benelli m4
Honestly, ALL of these have been reliable and an endless source of enjoyment.
Thank you to you and your awesome son!
In my honest opinion there is 0 reason to buy this gun when the maverick 88 exists
Great shotgun and presentation with shooting. I put one on layaway today. Glad i did too. Lokks practically new. π©β π΅π―ππππ»πΊπΈπ
I have this exact same shotgun except I have ghost ring sights and a heat shield, love it. All you firearm snobs need not comment.
About a year and a half ago I bought the 320 in 20 gauge. I got it Walmart. After taxes I paid $150 for it. Not sure how many shells I’ve put through it but zero issues.
I have the same but with a ghost sight on the rear and a fiber optic in the front and I LOVE this rifle!!! 1oz slugs at 50 & 100 yards is amazing fun to shoot. Wish I had a place to shoot more then paper targets with it…
Do you like the stevens or the maverick 88 more?
Mixup, You AIN’T NO JOKE!
