    Dammit FC, I’ve had a .460 Encore on my mind, then took it off my mind in favor of a .45 Colt lever action, now you’ve put it back in my mind with those groupings!

    Yes, please put a scope on the T/C and try shooting at 25 yards again. I think that group will shrink quite a bit as a result.

    This video kinda goes against the FB groupthink that the 45Colt & 454 Casull are inaccurate out of a 460 barrel.
    Also, I watched this the first time because I watch all your vids. I watched it this second time because I now have a 460 S&W Encore. Lol

    I’d like to an unrelated question I hope it’s alright to do so here

    I’m getting anxious to plug in my new lee Pro Melting pot to make some ingots. What do you think adding some old damaged pewter ware to pur lead to harden it up. It seems like it is nor that different to linotype.

    The other question i have is i would like to cast 6.5mm bullets for my 6.5 x 55se. Have seen a of controversy. it needs to be very hard and not fired that fast. I have access to linotype and was wondering how much I could add the lead coud I use 100% linotype?

    The way you pronounce Katahdin seemed so strange to me. The name is used on many other products, so I have heard it used a lot in camping gear. The way I have always heard it pronounced is kay-ta-dine, so it sounded strange the way you said it. But here’s the thing, I know that you are one smart cookie, one smart fortune cookie to be exact. LOL So I looked it up and found that my suspicions were right and your pronunciation is spot on and those other clowns were way off.
    This Katahdin barrel is exactly what I want and will be my next purchase. The SS Encore barrels are hard to find with iron sights. I would like to get one in 243 win, but will probably have to get one in blue since I can’t seem to find a SS with iron sights.
    Is it ok to use any .452 bullet to reload 460? It seems the 200 gn FTX bullets are made for the 460 while the 225 gn FTX are made for something else, but both are .452.

    You have a little Al di meola playing. I would just get an optic for the barrel, maybe a 2-3 power for better sight recognition, It would be an interesting trial to take it out to the 100-yard mark an give it a go. good shooting Steve. Dave.

    Supply and demand is the only reason I can think of that keep the price of the Encore so high. If TC can sell bolt action rifles for $300 retail, you’d think the break action guns would be in the same ballpark.
