    Feels good to hear about the German general who tried to save the 12th, and 9th armies, along with civilians from almost being in Soviet captivity at the end of WW2 in Europe

    What about the 10’s if not hundreds of thousands of people he and the 9th army got out of Berlin?
    He was also the last person to surrender to the Yanks after said disobedience from Hitler’s orders

    It would have really interesting if he had taken a high position in Bundeswehr, instead of Speidel. It looked as though he became good friends with Manstein after the war. Thanks for the great video.
