147 ๐? I guess thatโs the number of people that pitched this idea to discovery channel and they said no! Lol! ๐๐คฃ What a video! Not only about knives but about your career…, the kid said, no university for me. Iโm here through an apprentice program. Thatโs refreshing! The man even said, we have those knife nuts working for us. Here in USA we teach that without university you are nothing. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ Good job guys! New sub here!
you need your own TV show, this video is awesome
Great trip Zac. I have hope for positivity but a bit sad that this is prepandemic . I’d love to visit this nice town.
in my country they sell boker knife only 4 dollar. is it fake boker?
WOW! I just watched all 4 seasons of Black Sails which takes place in 1715. It’s amazing to think that some of the tools actually used then could have been Boker.
Germany as a region contributed a lot to the martial history of the western world.
What a crock !!!!!! Asians have had sleeve and belt knives for 2000 years…Liers
My katana is from here and I love it
I like that the youngster found his passion through a swiss victorinox and went to work for one of the best german brands!

And here we are a year later, Boker is moving the last of production overseas. So… No longer a German company.

Great video thanks
Older than most knife makers in the United States. More like older than the United States itself, would be a better way to put it..
Dang fellas, nice job on the edit
Guys. What a fantastic video. Makes me want to go to bladehq and buy a boker
Oh crap. Boker is becoming my new favorite knife brand.
Nice work guys.
My favorite item in my collection is a fixed boker plus caracal in D2, sick blade.
Also, their catalog is enormous, if you could open a shop and sell all the boker knives, the shop would have to be BIG.
They use so many handle materials and designs you cannot get bored of this brand.
When I was a young man in Tennessee, I used to go to the town square in Murfreesboro and hang out with the old men sitting on the bench next to the old Civil War canons. They would whittle all day long on cedar sticks. I asked one of the men one day what he was making. He said, "Im making little sticks out of big ones"! As I sat there, these men were constantly asking the same question of anyone that came up to be around them…What kind of pocket knife do you have? If you didn’t pull out a Boker knife from your pocket, you had better not pull anything out of it. It was Boker or trash. Thats where my love for Boker began. This was a sweet video. Thanks
I’ve got one boker
I wander if they were ever associated with Nazis and if the Boker Family in Mexico fled there after there defeat to escape there war crimes.
Absolutely great!!!! The only thing Blade HQ could have done better is to pronounce the name of the city they went to correctly. The city is called ‘Solingen’. The German guy was pronouncing something like "Soling", and I’m positive Americans can say that too.
Blade Hq: It’ll be interesting what they will be doing 150 years from know
Me: Isn’t it obvious, Light saber knifes .
You definitely showed the best bit of Solingen surrounding area and inside the factory. The city is pretty grim. I visited with my family. We were a 3 hr drive away and just went so I could visit the Boker store and the Zwillings shop you should try and get in the factories of some of the other makers in the city.
wow thank you for making this documentary.. i’m just starting collection of knives.. and I just got my 1st Boker knife… its a kalashnikov XL and it so awesome to hold and play with haha… now i know I got a very nice knife with rich history on it… good job sir…
Yes Great video !
Now to choose a Boker that I want !
Sorry, but that "SolinJen" pronunciation really hurt my ears! Thanks for the video!๐
Yโall changed my mind on Boker! Effers know how to get into my wallet. ๐
