The One Gun Everyone Should Own

The One Gun Everyone Should Own

Everyone should have at least one .22LR gun in their collection. It’s arguably one of the most fun rounds to shoot considering it recoils like a pussy cat but is still very much lethal. I have nothing against paintball or airsoft but there is something about a lethal round that shoots as soft as a paintball or airsoft gun that makes it that much cooler.

Not to mention it’s generally cheap and easy to find except when the country is dealing with one of the biggest ammo shortages in the history of mankind.

Right now in the gun industry, there’s what I like to call a Tactical Kardashian Effect. Much the same way every Instagram model looks like some variation of Kim Kardashian there was a time where every gun kinda sorta maybe just a little… looked KINDA LIKE A Glock.

The Mark IV on the other hand looks like a gun that Bill burr would use as his character in The Mandalorian, except those are Ruger MARK III’s.

The features on the MARK IV 22/45 Lite just make shooting a .22 out of a handgun that much more enjoyable. It has a fixed front sight with an adjustable rear iron sight, which is useless to me because the Picatinny rail that comes on the guns lets me put red dots like the Leupold Delta Point Pro on it.

I don’t care how you feel about red dots on handguns, if nothing, shooting a handgun with a red dot on it is fun when you’re not trying to be action Jackson and just shooting for the pleasure of shooting.

The way the MARK IV shoots is the main reason why I believe everyone should have at least one Mark IV in their collection.

When I was filming this video I wasn’t in the best of moods. I was stressed out and my allergies were driving me crazy, but while I shooting the Mark IV I seeming forgot about all of the things that were bothering me.

I’ve always said the 1911 is one of the most ergonomic handguns on the planet. Which in turn makes the Mark IV one of the most ergonomic guns on the planet because the grip and grip angle is very much like 1911.

The grip itself is pretty simple but sometimes less is more and here less is a lot more. Sure there the 22 doesn’t have a lot of recoils but the ergonomics of the grip still stood out to me.

Long story short, everyone should own the Ruger Mark 4 because it makes you happy.

Honestly, shooting any of my guns makes me happy, even the Ruger super red hawk Alaskan and that thing is terrifying.

It’s the way the Mark IV makes you happy. It sneaks up on you. One min you’re plinking away and the next you’re grinning from ear to ear because the gun feels so great in your hands.

The trigger pull is smooth and predictable, the suppressor mitigates all the concussions and noise so you can clearly hear the bullet careen against the steel target, and its low recoil coupled with a red dot just makes it feel like you’re playing a first-person shooter with auto-aim.

In a perfect world, you’d wake up, make your breakfast and a cup of coffee, grab your Mark IV, sit on your deck with an awesome view and just plink away until your heart was content.

Yup! Got One! Fabulous! I’m female, and got the 10” bull barrel replaced the grips with wood thumb rest (Ruger)and end sight. She’s one of my Favorites! I have outshot the guys out plinking! They were amazed. She’s as you say a pussycat, I have a red dot that I remove as I prefer iron sights. I might get a bitty suppressor? Cool as Hell! Love This Baby!

  2. mtn ride on January 28, 2023 at 1:44 am

Great video, just got mine back, had it cerakoted FDE desert sand. Where are you shooting at?

  3. SJ Yount on January 28, 2023 at 1:45 am

I am a teen who often shoots this gun with my parents and I have to say this is my favorite. Unlike most guns it doesn’t kick and hurt my hands. 😂 I have to agree with him in saying that everyone needs this gun, especially if you don’t want a gun that kicks.

  4. Noah Melton on January 28, 2023 at 1:46 am

my dad has a mk2, cool gun.

  5. Brian Brock on January 28, 2023 at 1:47 am

Yes! All great points. That’s all why I love mine as well.

  6. Rebecca Mertes on January 28, 2023 at 1:48 am

What a great, thorough, informative video. Just what I needed to be convinced to buy one. Thanks!

  7. J Neptune on January 28, 2023 at 1:48 am

How isn’t it jamming on every other round. My lite keeps jamming

  8. justin heer 4 dacomments on January 28, 2023 at 1:52 am

I’ve got a Smith & Wesson Sigma 9 mm that looks just like a Glock as a matter of fact it’s like a Gen 2 or gen 3 and they were sued by glock because it basically was a Glock everything about it was pretty much the same

  9. Bowkill1 Striker on January 28, 2023 at 1:52 am

Dude your analogy for how dirty the gun gets with the drunk girls walking down the sidewalk in the bare feet that’s some hilarious 💩💩💩💩💩you the best man

  10. N Camp on January 28, 2023 at 1:53 am

I love the ruger mark 4 but damn why you got to but dogshit sights on them factory? I’d pay an extra 50-100 bucks for some sights. Plus it’s a pain in the ass swapping out the rear sight. Same goes for the 1022 tactical…. charge more and put on a better rail

  11. ACATNAMED SCOOP on January 28, 2023 at 1:53 am

soup cans look out ! I want the steel framed version it just feels better to me anyway

  12. Jose Nazario on January 28, 2023 at 1:53 am

Super great video. Love your poetry. Thank you. I’m a big fan

  13. tbboardhed2 on January 28, 2023 at 1:53 am

I love my Mark iv. One of my favorite guns in my collection. I have mine in green. Waiting for my suppressor for it. Every time I go to the range I always take it and at least 100 rounds just to have fun "plinking"

  14. Erin on January 28, 2023 at 1:53 am

That’s a shit ton of tires.

  15. Wreckz 91 on January 28, 2023 at 1:54 am

Bruh come on now the challenger is in there too

  16. unknown welder on January 28, 2023 at 1:55 am

Ruger has never disappointed me that’s my .02

  17. LIBERDADE on January 28, 2023 at 1:55 am

    Top demais

  18. david krent on January 28, 2023 at 1:55 am

I’ve now owned 4 , I gave two away to my grown children. If I had to take one gun & ammo with me when civilization collapses it’d be my Mark 4 with suppressor & 5000 thousand rounds of subsonic. The sound is quieter than a bb gun & the weight of the ammo is a couple pounds.

  19. ObservantSeedsower on January 28, 2023 at 1:58 am

Wow brother that range your shooting on looks way off the rails! What is that place?

  20. Mathew Davis - Adventures and DIY on January 28, 2023 at 1:59 am

Thanks. I was literally looking at this same setup today. Primarily for sneaking up on hogs.

  21. criticalfxck13 on January 28, 2023 at 2:00 am

yep if I ever get the chance Im totally buying a Mk4

  22. Chaplin on January 28, 2023 at 2:03 am

It’s kind of funny now seeing *_I WILL NOT COMPLY_* on a compliance mask

  23. James Kahle on January 28, 2023 at 2:03 am

I just got a buckmark, but I was really in between the mkiv and the buckmark. I liked the grip on the browning a little better and they had a used one on sale. I’d still like to shoot the mkiv to see the real difference.

  24. jump4433 on January 28, 2023 at 2:04 am

And unless you have bad ammo that won’t fire, the Ruger Mark series are reliable as hell. Only pistol I owned for a couple decades, many many 1000’s of rounds. FTF/FTE? I’m still trying to remember if I ever experienced this.

  25. Pirate on January 28, 2023 at 2:04 am

When the MKIV came out, the price of the MKIII got too good to pass on..

  26. Matthew Gower on January 28, 2023 at 2:05 am

    0:35 the reason I want a suppressed AR45

  27. mpmassacre91 on January 28, 2023 at 2:07 am

I think my wrangler is the funnest gun ever. I use 22 short cb rounds it’s pretty quiet but not silent if your inside you would never know

  28. Mero famsatma on January 28, 2023 at 2:08 am

    Ruger….but 22magnum….perfecto..!!!

  29. Kristin Hickey on January 28, 2023 at 2:08 am

Just bought one today, what took me so long!
No regrets after watching your video

  30. Black Gryph0n on January 28, 2023 at 2:13 am

6:36 That dream? I have that… everything except for the MK IV Lite… Just bought one. Thanks!

  31. threeoeight wadcutter on January 28, 2023 at 2:14 am

The machine unsubscribed me. Finally back!

  32. Natures Critter on January 28, 2023 at 2:15 am

    Unfortunately…(currently) NY doesn’t allow suppressors

  33. francotirador941 on January 28, 2023 at 2:16 am

Mr Noir what kind of red dot is that?

  34. Kyle Weber on January 28, 2023 at 2:19 am

I want one of these, I shot one my friend owns and I have never shot better in my life.

  35. TraiN YouR DoG! on January 28, 2023 at 2:20 am

Just picked up a mark 4 tactical today! I put my hydra 22 can on it and she’s movie quiet!

  36. simpleflipR6 on January 28, 2023 at 2:20 am

Terrible choice of music and kardashian comparison?… I have a mark4 tactical, MR920 and Gloc19 don’t compare this .22 for people reading this I used armscore it will jam 20 out of 50. Doesn’t matter which box. CCI ammo not a single jam. Testing more ammos.

  37. I know nothing on January 28, 2023 at 2:21 am

    "action Jackson" comment killed me😂

  38. j stones on January 28, 2023 at 2:23 am

great video. I just ordered my Ruger mark 4 target in SS to replace my 30 year old mark 2.

  39. Coreman 80 on January 28, 2023 at 2:24 am

This video must have a version narrated by Morgan Freeman.

  40. Shawn Allan Webb on January 28, 2023 at 2:25 am

Well, here comes the black mamba! 😁

  41. Grasp Unwrapped on January 28, 2023 at 2:26 am

Do any of you carry the Mark IV as an EDC? I’m thinking of downsizing from 9MM to the .22LR but want to know who carries one regularly.

  42. Connor K on January 28, 2023 at 2:26 am

I only shoot for the pleasure of shooting so I’m glad I bought one. Paintball guns generally aren’t pistols so they feel way different but I’m also a big paintball guy so yeah but maybe nicer co2 blowback pistols that aren’t super sloppy and cheap cause the cheap ones are so sloppy and feel like trash

  43. drakejdf on January 28, 2023 at 2:26 am

Honestly the first pistol I purchased as soon as I arrived in my new home state’s awesome.

  44. Spencer Ng on January 28, 2023 at 2:26 am

Colion, your video is what convinced me to finally purchase this gun. I got it from a local Davidson Defense location for a stellar price. I got the purple one as a birthday gift for my wife to introduce her to the firearm scene (and of course so I can plink with it and not break the bank). Thank you for the video and all that you do brother.

  45. James fuxurfeelins on January 28, 2023 at 2:28 am

    dope gun brother!
i got a mark 1, with taperd barrel, and a ark 2 target 10 inch barrel , and both are amazing to go pop off 400 rounds lol

  46. Mazepa - Slava Ukrayini on January 28, 2023 at 2:29 am

    Exceptional video!! Kudos man!

  47. GeminoSmothers on January 28, 2023 at 2:29 am

Oh man you’re right. I was going to say thay no gun gets that title, but the ruger mk1 passes. Let me also suggest the Jimenez JA22. I carry the earlier Jennings J22. Always fires those minimags. Almost always hits the target.

  48. Aaron Franulovich on January 28, 2023 at 2:31 am

I have this same 22/45 with an RMR and waiting on a Bitty in jail. Can’t wait to shoot this setup.

  49. rocky DP on January 28, 2023 at 2:35 am

just found your page and i am not disappointed well done!!

  50. eamonia on January 28, 2023 at 2:38 am

.22 LR is my favorite round. Change my mind…
