I think I will design a big bore cartridge. I failed at everything else, might as well make it a clean sweep.

My buddy had a .375 SuperMag DW in his shop for $1200 last summer. Should’ve bought it, think he still has it

God, the Automag IV is a damn good looking gun though.

Great video. I was saddened to hear about Jeff Quinn. He was a true gentleman and one of the earlier YouTube gun channels

You are one of the VERY few channels where every single video is awesome! Thanks for your hard work and keep ’em coming!

  14. Gino on October 22, 2022 at 9:10 pm

Leave out the crap noise in the background and you’re making real progress, it’s distracting and therefore irritating.

  15. BacklTrack on October 22, 2022 at 9:10 pm

🙁 i like 400 cor-bon. Just don’t overload it lol. Also depends if you make your brass by necking and trimming 45 acp brass or if you make it out of 45 +p/45 super.

  16. Flint Richards on October 22, 2022 at 9:12 pm

I remember going into Harry Sanfords gun store and they were talking about the .44amp and the gun they wanted to build .

When i watched Jeff Quinn, i comsidered him the grandfather i mever had. .. I’m crying now.
    Love you, grandpa.

  18. Furman Mackey on October 22, 2022 at 9:12 pm

Heard of all the cartridges and handguns on your list but I managed to avoid owning any of them…..Mainly because I had not the slightest prayer in a cyclone of affording them. I do still have a soft spot in my now Old Goober Heart for the .44 Auto Mag pistol (I really like the looks) and its cartridge.

  19. Moss Ranch Outdoors on October 22, 2022 at 9:13 pm

    Not for children? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  20. Kent Towne on October 22, 2022 at 9:13 pm

Fun viewing — interesting story line.

  21. Samuel Adams on October 22, 2022 at 9:14 pm

The 10mm magnum would make a good pistol hunting round.

  22. Random Idiot on October 22, 2022 at 9:14 pm

On #1.. crimp is a huge problem with rimmed cartridges also. The majority of ammo manufacturers, even some specialty hot ammo loaders, fail in this regard. I ‘may’ have modified a Lee factory crimp die to crimp in lube grooves for 45 acp cast bullet loads though. Dunno why there’s no current ammo or die manufacturers offering an option like this. It’s finicky but it works when you don’t have many options left for keeping a bullet in a case under recoil.

  23. galuyasdi on October 22, 2022 at 9:15 pm

How knowledgeable exactly are you about the history and stories of these cartridges? Anyway, I will simply address the .44 Auto Mag. It was a success and failed for other reasons than mentioned. It is also available in factory loads, Can be made from cut down .308 brass, and the firearm itself is once again available. They were also made by Jurris in the past as carbines for a short while and have always had a following. Ammunition is made at present as well and may be soon will make a comeback onto the market in a bigger way than previously thought. Just sayin’.

  24. S. Smith on October 22, 2022 at 9:18 pm

I’ll stick with my Model 29.

  25. Gary Laffoon on October 22, 2022 at 9:20 pm

Why do you insist on picking on the 41 magnum. I have been shooting the 41 mag since the early 70s. I own 5 currently. It’s a great cartridge.

  26. Mr. Pete Channel is 100 away 2 the big time! on October 22, 2022 at 9:25 pm

Somebody is building new .44 automag pistols again. 1 last chance.

  27. oscrates on October 22, 2022 at 9:26 pm

Curious your thoughts on the 45 Raptor and 375 Raptor

  28. E.Z. Hernandez on October 22, 2022 at 9:26 pm

Jeff will always be on YouTube. Modern immortality.

  29. Tim Beatty on October 22, 2022 at 9:26 pm

In the 1990s I use to sell 400 corbon barrels. I sold a lot of them to Glock 21 owners. I still have a 40 Super barrel for my Glock 21. Underwood still makes 40 Super ammo for the same price as 10mm.

  30. MrNedsaabdickerson on October 22, 2022 at 9:27 pm

Where did you get those awesome wood grips that are on those single action Ruger looking revolvers?

  31. FormerMPSGT on October 22, 2022 at 9:28 pm

    Sad news! RIP Mr. Quinn!

  32. Michael Ochampaugh on October 22, 2022 at 9:28 pm

    What about 41AE epic failure

  33. Kelly Mccomas on October 22, 2022 at 9:32 pm

    😥

  34. Samuel Adams on October 22, 2022 at 9:33 pm

Sad to hear about Jeff. I watched many of his videos. Cool man. RIP Jeff.

  35. archangel20031 on October 22, 2022 at 9:34 pm

I make 45 Raptor brass out of 30-06 brass, and a few were damaged, so I cut them to 45 acp length, but the brass is so thick, the case volume is reduced, so just use 30-06 brass cut down to 400 Cor-Bon!

  36. Chris Phillips on October 22, 2022 at 9:35 pm

The 445 supermag is a fine cartridge. I only wish it would come back to life because it deserves a lot of respect in my opinion. I have two Dan Wesson revolvers chambered in it. I would never part with them.

  37. Newtire on October 22, 2022 at 9:37 pm

Don’t forget the Herter’s .401 Power-Mag. I would imagine the revolvers and loading dies would be pretty hard to come by-let alone ammo. For those who don’t know about Herters ( not the "Herters that is blasphemously stamped on ammo available at Cabela’s). A real outdoorsman/woman company out of Waseca, Minnesota that sold a huge variety of pretty high quality stuff. Of course, to hear them describe anything they sold, there was none better sold anywhere on Earth.

  38. Adam Basham on October 22, 2022 at 9:39 pm

I love my Automag……. Glad they are making them again…. You forgot the 460 Whitehorse Magnum….

  39. Tim Shannon on October 22, 2022 at 9:40 pm

It’s nice to know we have free speech somewhere in the country thank you

  40. E.Z. Hernandez on October 22, 2022 at 9:40 pm

    .41 avenger?

  41. Red Beard on October 22, 2022 at 9:40 pm

I still have my 400 corbon

  42. Alan Brunner on October 22, 2022 at 9:42 pm

I guess the 480 Ruger was to popular for this list.

  43. FJ B on October 22, 2022 at 9:42 pm

The background noise is so overpowering and annoying it’s in the foreground !

  44. Billy on October 22, 2022 at 9:42 pm

Dan Wesson, surely one of the finest pistols ever made in. 44mag ,and possibly. 357.pure class.edit,i do know what a freedom arms is. Something about a deep blue Finnish.

  45. TheKajunkat on October 22, 2022 at 9:44 pm

Even Dirty Harry couldn’t save the .45 auto mag.

  46. patriot 945 on October 22, 2022 at 9:44 pm

I agree on the music, how many gun ranges have "elevator music", but I did like the guns. as far as experiments go. every new cartridge needs a market and a purpose.

  47. Mk Shffr on October 22, 2022 at 9:45 pm

The .41spl kind of died on the vine.

  48. Scott Hargrove on October 22, 2022 at 9:45 pm

The 45 win mag pistol cartridge is no longer made and I have one. Being a hand loader I can shoot my Lar Grizzly mark 5. Ballistically it’s almost equal to a hot 240gr 44mag but in a semi auto. It does destroy recoil buffers.

  49. ITMCBHPBGF. on October 22, 2022 at 9:46 pm

    13:22 got me xD

  50. Daniel Osborne on October 22, 2022 at 9:47 pm

    I enjoy the 44automag
