On May 24 in Uvalde, Texas, 19 children and two of their teachers died at the hands of an over-armed young man. This is an abominable fact; it is not, in the United States, an isolated fact. "Why do we live voluntarily with this carnage?" , asked the American president in a speech, the day after the tragedy. The question should be: why have the Americans not yet found the answer to this question?

The Americans are doing very little to regulate access to firearms that cause violence that is not found in any other developed country, with nearly 11 times more firearm deaths per 100,000 population than in Australia; five times more than in Canada; four times more than in France [according to data collected by the Pew Research Center]. Living in the United States means being confronted in a direct or relatively close way with this type of violence.

Everybody should bring their guns to Trump events to prove how secure it is when good guys have guns. The more the more the better and the larger the weapons the better.
I wonder why guns were banned at this NRA event.

  3. ScarlettJoe Handsome on July 24, 2022 at 7:29 pm

All this proves is that Trump can read a teleprompter if the type is large and the words are small.

  4. lisa richards on July 24, 2022 at 7:29 pm

Trump is demented, and using a tragedy for his own personal gain and for a political agenda.

  5. JayProductions on July 24, 2022 at 7:30 pm

He’s tryna make schools a legit prison.

  6. Ayo Beasty on July 24, 2022 at 7:31 pm

I agree on armed security on school campus. Secure the schools with top of the line security systems.

  7. Mick Priestley on July 24, 2022 at 7:31 pm

How can you complain that democrats want to ‘politicize’ the gun debate, while booking Trump as your speaker? When has he ever used a gun, ever in his whole life? He’s there solely as a right wing political figure to tell you that guns are good, democrats bad. The NRA convention is a political, Republican event!

  8. Christian ANDRE on July 24, 2022 at 7:35 pm

For Trump the first shot wins….

  9. Miguel Olmedo on July 24, 2022 at 7:35 pm

If trump was so popular why would he need protections from guns in a gun convention? 🤔 🤣🤣

  10. calabashbabe on July 24, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Shooting innocent children and people is grotesque you nit wit of a man. trumps rhetoric is so very contradictory and egregiously hypocritical.

    Great ideas

  12. hammock camping on July 24, 2022 at 7:39 pm

I’m just brainstorming here. What about a $0.01 tax per bullet manufactered, $0.005 per primer manufactered, and $1.00 per gun manufactered. All proceeds split between (4) four initiatives to help support gun rights and good gun culture. 1) for the first initiative, gun rights and gun safety public announcement will be made by media groups. The messaging and selection of the advertising company would be made by a board of volunteers. The selection of the volunteers would be limited to those that attest to their commitment to the constitution and the second amendment in particular. Additionally the board of volunteers would need to be selected from people that have experience helping citizens become responsible gun owners. These volunteers would craft the public messaging and hire media groups to send positive gun safety and gun-rights messaging to the public. 2) for the second initiative, the same Board of volunteers would also spend the tax revenue to provide a legal defense for those that have a reasonable claim of justified deadly force. 3) the third initiative will also be conducted by a board of volunteers. They would hire Watchdog groups and private investigators for the purpose of exposing groups and high-profile individuals that are trying to undermine the Second Amendment. 4). For the fourth initiative, a board of pro-gun volunteers would hire investigators and prosecutors to investigate and prosecute violent criminals that use guns as well as government agents that use public resources to advocate for more gun control.

    Trump is grotesque.

  14. InuchanConejito on July 24, 2022 at 7:40 pm

Teachers are barely getting paid , a lot of schools need massive restoration and repairs , education is under funded , and they want to as
add more security as the only solution? Who is going to pay for that when the give rent already refuses to pay their own teachers a living wage?

  15. 88badstang on July 24, 2022 at 7:40 pm

Are you trolls advocating taking peoples guns away going to take on the responsibility of protecting those people? Didn’t think so.

  16. Gun Control Is Racism on July 24, 2022 at 7:41 pm

  18. badstimpy on July 24, 2022 at 7:42 pm

This bloke is a joke ….. Put a wall around every school now ?? Barbed wire and electric fences –
1 point of entry for thousands of kids and staff all slowed by metal detectors ? Who rights his absurd policies ?

  19. Barry MiCockener on July 24, 2022 at 7:44 pm

Well it doesn’t make sense to have more gun control if liberals can’t even keep criminals that are caught in jail

  20. buddhastaxi666 on July 24, 2022 at 7:46 pm

Nixon said …if the speed limit is 50mph why keep making cars that do 80mph.

    This is even better

  24. Oliver Hill on July 24, 2022 at 7:49 pm

Okay wait wait wait , didn’t 4 years ago he literally called out the NRA and for Congress to implement gun control laws.
If there’s any proof he’s a grifter this is it

  25. buddhastaxi666 on July 24, 2022 at 7:49 pm

Common sense says, determine the hazard, then determine the risk.
The biggest hazard is too many people are armed to the teeth.
The risk of negative consequences is extreme as proven by the stats of mass killing in the US A and The Rest Of The World.
This NRA propaganda saying turn schools into a fortress is egregiously corrupt and ignores a primary cause of the murders and addresses only the secondary effects of the murders.

  26. Nychelle Brewer on July 24, 2022 at 7:50 pm

It’s always fun to watch Trump try hard to read his words.

does this guy really believe on those measures? it sounds so surreal…

  28. Joshua Geltner on July 24, 2022 at 7:51 pm

I think the people affected by gun violence would like to see that agenda passed.

  29. Dj Ladieslove on July 24, 2022 at 7:52 pm

I thought he’s coming back ? On foreign policies he just need to sign equal exchange on their currencies here in United States for airlines international revenues

  30. Kickin Goals on July 24, 2022 at 7:53 pm

You guys are crazy. Why not just follow in the footsteps of Australia and ban guns. It has worked. No child should be exposed to the stress of possible violence when attending school. Guns are death machines, no good can come from death machines

  31. Mr. Michael B. Saari on July 24, 2022 at 7:55 pm

Since nearly half the nation of peaceful American citizens are convicted felons and permanently and forever disbarred from ever owning a firearm, bullet or even knife to protect family or self based on prior victimless convictions is an absolute American disgrace and hypocrisy at its finest, but is still the truth. (The government won!)
In all fairness, the other 50% of peaceful American citizen should now be permanently disbarred from firearm, bullet and knife possession and should be treated the exact same as a mental person incapable of providing humanity to society, the same as victimless felons without an inured party are treated!
As a candidate for Michigan State Senate I believe its time that every good and peaceful American citizen be forever and permanently disbarred from firearm, bullet and knife possession equal (Same) as the violent criminals who should forever and permanently disbarred from 2nd amendment and knife privilege protections….
Gun rights/knife rights (Privileges) have turned into polluted privileges while the NRA will always be an American icon but always a theme of the victorian historical past!
All for one and one for all… (No more guns or knives for anybody in America!)
    – Michael B. Saari for Michigan State Senate 2022

    The deranged flog

  36. Joe M on July 24, 2022 at 7:59 pm

So why are deranged people legally allowed to buy guns? Maybe start with that.

  37. c4arla on July 24, 2022 at 7:59 pm

what could be more extreme than making bearing guns a right?

  38. Gary Dunn on July 24, 2022 at 8:05 pm

    Me neither.

    “A well regulated militia”
    Well regulated
    Well regulated
Does the GOP not understand English or do they value unconstitutional agendas?

  40. grahvis on July 24, 2022 at 8:07 pm

So the fact that shootings such as recently, only account for a very small percentage of the yearly slaughter created by the free availability of guns, can be ignored.

  41. skylark on July 24, 2022 at 8:08 pm

He’s grotesque. The first bill he signed into law was to return guns to the mentally ill. Jesus. I guess any law blocking gun rights is too much for Republicans who get big donations from the NRA to promote gun sales.

  42. Louie Martinez on July 24, 2022 at 8:09 pm

  43. Sarah Dobbin on July 24, 2022 at 8:10 pm

    Children should be more important
    Good luck all

  44. c4arla on July 24, 2022 at 8:11 pm

I a country where education is already so unattainable and underfunded he wants to up security to protect the rights of literal murderers for a violent tradition. incredible.

  45. iTalkToComputers on July 24, 2022 at 8:11 pm

why is it normal for government officials to speak at a company’s event? this is just weird?

  46. Peter Gibson on July 24, 2022 at 8:12 pm

To a lot of Americans a gun is a "Holy Icon".
(Americans don’t know that the 2nd Amendmend specifies that a weapon must be held "As "Part of a well regulated militia.")
We sane Europeans know more about the 2nd Amendment than ignorant American Hillbillies.

  47. John Gawrys on July 24, 2022 at 8:16 pm

Republicans are scumbags who are scared of everything if they don’t have a weapon. Snowflakes
