Sounds like getting ready for a war.
Rev 13:7 It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

  2. Galvin Stanley on January 24, 2023 at 1:22 am

Because Sig Saur needs too make more ammunition for their new assault rifle for the army.

  3. Chopmop Tactical on January 24, 2023 at 1:22 am

Only reason an old ww2 ammo plant would be brought back to life is to produce for ww3 thats on the horizon old school way of life always works i dont blame them shoulda never stopped anyway

In my opinion the government is finally coming to terms with that we have been under equipped under every administration the only effort to re-equip and update our military was only during the Trump administration now with war raging in Europe they’re finally realizing we’ve got to ramp things back up not just for our country but for our NATO allies. I’d even go as far to say that our European allies have inquired with us about getting help with their future ammo needs. The other much more dark possibility is the government may want it in the event of civil unrest in the US to maintain control. Another possibility is maybe it’s better to rebuild new ammo plants on the inside using the existing buildings for the 6.8 next generation weapons without disrupting existing plants. It could be all or a combination of these reasons but one thing is for sure for any Democratic administration to make any such move is because they fear something look how long they cut the military and did nothing. You are right it’s very suspicious indeed. T.R. 🇺🇸

Open up government ammunition manufacturers and you take supplies away from manufacturers for citizens to buy ammunition to me its a round about way to hurt the 2nd amendment by taking supplies away

  9. Matt Norris on January 24, 2023 at 1:31 am

    I can contribute to this:

Lake City produces a particularly large quantity of ammunition for USA citizens. It isn’t just for the army. Civilians, law enforcement, NATO allies, other allies, etc.

Additionally, as of me posting this, civilian demand for ammo has temporarily tanked.

At the time you made this video, civilian demand for 5.56 was so high that lake city employees were working mandatory 60 hours a week, on 5x 12 hour shifts, to keep up.

There’s more details than this, but the reality is that even when we’re talking non-civilian ammunition sales, Russia and China are demonstrating that the world has trouble makers present.

Countries exposed to that trouble probably have a lot of interest in preparing for the worst.

If it is profitable for the USA and/or is beneficial to national security interests of various nations,of buy to open up more production, then somebody is going to look at doing that.

I’m not really sure there’s much of a question about it or anything to look in to. Two new NATO nations have just been added. Lake City produces small arms ammo for NATO.

I wish you had specified in this video WHICH facilities were being considered to be brought online.

  10. Robert Braden on January 24, 2023 at 1:32 am

The government knows they must produce billions of rounds for military and Homeland Security…not for national defense, but for for civil war after national gun confiscation, and gas powered car confiscations begin. After food and fuel rationing begin.

  11. Dania Stopjik on January 24, 2023 at 1:33 am

I dont think they giving them small arm ammo….dont the all run 762 over there

  12. Jonathan Rogers on January 24, 2023 at 1:33 am

New production for the 6.8×51 for the new guns? Heard they were going to be working in lake city on the new processes woth the bi-metal cases

The US army is going to the 6.8mm cartridge for both their machine guns and NGSW. They need to maintain current levels of standard issue ammo while they build up enough stockpile to fully implement the new 6.8mm cartridge across the force. Cutting off production of the legacy ammunition could result in a loss of readiness and not having enough new ammunition would result in only a small amount of the force using the new weapons and ammo.

  21. Evocati Augusti (PLVS VLTRA) on January 24, 2023 at 1:41 am

    Arsenals also make ammo…

  22. kenneth sitton on January 24, 2023 at 1:43 am

Don’t forget chevrolet shell in stl durning the vietnam era.

  23. Jonathan Kirk on January 24, 2023 at 1:44 am

Most likely it’s due to the change over of 6.8 spc.The US is to get rid of the 55.6 cartridge. In the main battle rifle cartridge from now on will be 6.8 as PC due to be changed over by 2026.More than likely a lot of 556 will become available.

  24. james heath on January 24, 2023 at 1:44 am

Our old WWII stockpiles of iron bombs are just about depleted. Same reason for artillery ammunition. This is iron ammunition ( dumb bombs ) that has corroded and not safe to use. Those rounds that have been stored in bunkers are fine. Just not enough of it.

I buy ammo when ever I can afford it

  27. Mortachi on January 24, 2023 at 1:47 am

It would great to believe they were doing this to free up civilian manufacturers to make ammo for us, but when has the federal government ever done anything for our benefit? Every move they make somehow puts the screws to American people. So whatever their reason for this, I’m sure we won’t like it.

  28. Anthony Ross on January 24, 2023 at 1:48 am

There was a ww2 ammo plant near me outside of rosemount,MN. The smoke stacks are gone but you can still see the concrete walls of part of it along hwy 46.

We know it ain’t for us! The rich are about to get richer the war machine is getting into rhythm. Our tyrannical government finally got the war they have been pushing for for years.

  33. josef56 on January 24, 2023 at 1:55 am

Govt stockpile for conflict! Ramping up as we did in WWII! Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

  34. lightotw on January 24, 2023 at 1:58 am

You’re talking about a rumour and no specifics or evidence. I doubt the toilets would work in any building mothballed since the 1940’s. So it would be a stretch to believe any manufacturing site from the WWII era is geared to producing something useful immediately. Would there be a demand for military ammunition given the war in Ukraine? Of course. There would likely be a need to supply Ukraine with calibers NATO doesn’t use as much, at least for now. You’re not going to order it from China.

  35. Odius 1 on January 24, 2023 at 2:02 am

    Gonna needs billions of 6.8

  36. Ricky Schadel on January 24, 2023 at 2:03 am

  38. MT Madman on January 24, 2023 at 2:05 am

Don’t forget the U.S. Gov’t is a hiring agency, opening these plants will help lower the unemployment rates also.

new sig battle rifle for military. 6.8mm rounds

  40. ARMINIUS The HIBERNIAN on January 24, 2023 at 2:06 am

@God family and guns : Here is what I know. Other than 9mm NATO ball ammo Ukraine still uses the Soviet/Russian Cartridges; 5.4 5 x 39, 7.62 x 39 & 54R (for PKM belt-fed full auto machine gun & ‘sniper’ rifles like the Dragunov).. Ukraine’s ‘Red Army/Standard" plants are deep in e. E. Ukraine like in Lubansk.
7.62 x 39 : Turkey, Poland (Mesko), and Igman (Bosnia & Herezgovina) make brass/boxer and so lots of countries in the Balkans. PPU/PRVI Partison (Serbia) makes all of the Russian calibers including their equivalent but Serbia & Russia are tight. unless the US starts reconditioning M-16s amd M-60s the 5.56 & 7.62 NATO along with 50 BMG heavy machine guns are useless unless the send in NATO.
That’s why I got Accute # , primers (Bosnia & Argentina) and am ready to pounce on other items.

  41. Robert Pina on January 24, 2023 at 2:06 am

I agree with Ron’s comment , sig sauer is introducing a new weapons system 6.8 cal

  42. Sink or Swim on January 24, 2023 at 2:07 am

They are getting ready for the starvation wars and citizen uprisings. The ammo and weapons are going worldwide. Wake up peeps. 💉🐑🤡

  43. cassidy109 on January 24, 2023 at 2:08 am

I have found nothing, absolutely nothing, on the web about the US reopening shuttered ammunition plants. That said, the DOD is planning on modernizing and updating their current ammunition facilities, many of which do date back to WWII, many of which are hopelessly out of date and are in desperate need of modernization and refurbishment.

Again, just to reiterate I have seen absolutely nothing about the DOD reopening long closed ammunition facilities.

  44. RonDicken1971 on January 24, 2023 at 2:12 am

They just reopened the one near my home in Texarkana.

  45. Jason Sliger on January 24, 2023 at 2:12 am

Whenever we get invaded they’ll hand it out. The gun control freaks will shut up!

  46. Scott on January 24, 2023 at 2:13 am

I’m sure someone else has already said it but not all your statements are factually accurate. I’m not sure how many Army Ammunition plants there are but I know for a fact that there are at least 2 others that have been in continuous operation for at least 40 years. There are a dozen or so arsenals as well that manufacturers other things that go boom. And a dozen or more ammo depots as well. Fact check yourself.

  47. George Van Tuyl on January 24, 2023 at 2:15 am

Why? Really. The USA IS GOING TO WAR. WWIII. you only build up military stockpiles of ammunition is you plan on going to War. Or about to go to war.

  48. Rob R on January 24, 2023 at 2:15 am

It is truly odd because Americas military is more worried about what high heels go with which dress.
