  3. Mark Butler on August 5, 2022 at 7:58 pm

If the barrel is 16 inches, how long does the quad rail need to be?

  4. Custom Bike Designs on August 5, 2022 at 7:59 pm

Then he says he backed off the barrel nut to fit the gas tube lol….. what a moron. You never do wht he’s showing you. If your nut is not aligned at 65foot pounds. Aluminum barrel nuts max. Then you remove it and add barrel shim retighten.

  5. ItsOrganicDontPanic on August 5, 2022 at 8:00 pm

This gives a whole new meaning to redundant. Sadly the redundant information is all useless

  6. Fahad Bin Abdul Aziz on August 5, 2022 at 8:02 pm

At least this nut has got threads. The one I bought off hera arms gremany has no threads. The free float just goes over it and has three small nuts at the bottom to tighten the grip over the nut and 2 small nuts on the each side to hold on to the barrel. On the first 60 rounds the free float became loose. Tightened it but was not happy with it.

  7. Custom Bike Designs on August 5, 2022 at 8:04 pm

So much rambling, half the shit he says is bull shit as well. You don’t grease a freaking barrel to reduce slop. Who the fuck owns a reciver with play and shoots it with a barrel that is able to move lol…. stop buying China crap parts then. Whole point of grease is to aid in seating a barrel nut. Also to help remove a barrel later if it needs to be replaced. Nobody loctite s a barrel to the reciver. You shouldn’t need to loctite a barrel nut even if you tighten it correctly to spec.

  14. Greg Trautman on August 5, 2022 at 8:11 pm

Next time drop the music or drop the level to a lot lower. You have good content though.

  15. Bruck USMC12 on August 5, 2022 at 8:11 pm

That was a very good idea installing a bridging optic to align the rails. Overall this video is ok BUT, I surely wish that the practice of mentioning the use of loctite thread locker for the barrel nut was edited out. For individuals that aren’t aware, loctite thread locking compound and anti-seize are two completely different things. Please don’t ever use loctite thread locker compound on a barrel nut! The only product that should be used is anti-seize compound.

  16. Jim Whitaker on August 5, 2022 at 8:12 pm

This guy should NEVER tough a toolbox or firearm for that matter.
Then to publically show people that you don’t know what the hell you’re doing . . . . I just don’t have words for that!

  17. ericm0612 on August 5, 2022 at 8:13 pm

Dude, you always add anti seize to all fittings on the Ar15. If you don’t use it on aluminum it will gall and you won’t be getting the parts apart

  18. mrmgjohnson on August 5, 2022 at 8:15 pm

Props to this guy making and posting a video…… BUT most of his technical advise is totally wrong and he is spreading misinformation . Do yourself a favor an jump to 14:18.

  22. Ruben Vigueria on August 5, 2022 at 8:20 pm

Is it beefy and super huge?

  23. Brassmonke X on August 5, 2022 at 8:21 pm

Thank you that was very helpful. My rail came with the barrel nut backwards and it confused the heck out of me lol.

  24. ericm0612 on August 5, 2022 at 8:22 pm

You also mounted your torque wrench wrong into your attachment. When it’s an offset attachment you put it 90 degrees to the wrench, not inline. Otherwise you overtorque

  25. Jian Lee on August 5, 2022 at 8:23 pm

Omega,, and Davidsn/DeltaTeam also sell this.

  26. J on August 5, 2022 at 8:23 pm

  34. Billy Freeman on August 5, 2022 at 8:41 pm

Just so everyone knows….this is NOT a UTG product. I have the UTG Pro 13" free float quad rail and it is a much better product than whatever this is.

  39. Pasole Soup on August 5, 2022 at 8:44 pm

If my rail twists and turns is the rail loose or the barrel nut loose?

  40. Michael Blank on August 5, 2022 at 8:45 pm

My Barrel Nut wrench will not fit the Peg holes on the Free floating barrel nut. I can’t see how you put the wrench on.

  41. D S on August 5, 2022 at 8:46 pm

The background music was distracting and unecessary! Awful video!

  42. Ohsaintjoseph on August 5, 2022 at 8:46 pm

Hey man not sure if you’re still active on this channel but when I screwed it in it wasn’t perfectly aligned and so it kind of damaged two of those little ribs you’re talking about at 8:50 . Looks like it’s dug into now. Would you know if its still safe to fire?

  43. James W on August 5, 2022 at 8:48 pm

when you talked about using either anti-seize OR locktite interchangeably . . . FFS man, you are a clown

  44. Javier trujillo on August 5, 2022 at 8:49 pm

I can’t watch stopped at 4 mins it frustrating you repeat what your saying and talk to much…

  45. Anthony Galliart on August 5, 2022 at 8:50 pm

All the data I ever read on the torquing of the barrel nut says no more than 70 foot pounds max … Did they suggest 80? P.S. You can get a No Mar block for your upper on Ebay for $11.99 it works great. Thanks for the video.
