V Seven Ultra Light AR-15 Build: First Range Testing

V Seven Ultra Light AR-15 Build: First Range Testing

The V Seven Weapons Ultra Lightweight AR-15 build is done! This V Seven Weapons Ultra Lightweight AR-15 build is the one rifle to rule them all for me! I used V Seven Weapons AR-15 componets because they are top notch. Joel, owner of V Seven, having been an original member of Noveske with his best friend John Noveske, knows his way around an AR-15. Joel Allen of V7 Weapon Systems is no stranger to building quality products. Formerly the lead tech of Noveske Rifleworks, Joel knows how to knock out excellent parts. In search of the new method of reinvigorating the AR world, V7 seems to be going full speed in the direction of lighter, stronger parts.

With all this being said, lets discuss the performance. On this first range trip we shot a little over a hundred rounds. Slow fire, rapid fire, precision fire, magazine changes, safety manipulation, etc. Everything checked out. While I was able to squeeze out around a 0.75″ grouping at 100 yards, I have no qualms about this V Seven Weapons AR-15 build hitting 1/2″ groups in the future. I can shoot better and once I find the ammunition that works best with the 1 in 7″ twist 14.5″ pinned to 16″ barrel. More to come, stay tuned!

Total weight of your build without the accessories? Did you use an adjustable gas block since you used a lightweight bcg? Thanks for the video

So what was he weight difference between the 2 builds? I currently have a billet match F1 upper and lower and I am looking to do a nice light weight build for competition. Would love some input!

  23. Tactical Shooter on March 3, 2023 at 2:49 am

Light weight v7 titanium bcg is it reliable? Or sensitive to ammo change and dirt /carbon build?

  24. Brad Royce on March 3, 2023 at 2:50 am

Love your choice of a song. Also, I didn’t see your wife come back from down range before you started shooting…….

Hey man can you tell a huge difference between 14.5 and your 16 inch gun? I’ve been contemplating changing my 16 inch to a 14.5 pin and welded but didn’t know if it worth having to change all my stuff around. Awesome build by the way, rifle looks super slick.
