I have a Walther QF SF Black Ribbon which includes the extended mag release as default. However: I ended up switching to the standard, non protruding, release. Had some major problems with accidental mag drops when using the extended release. Especially at quick mag changes during competitions. I dont know if it’s me or my particular gun, but if I touch the mag release ever so slightly, it ejects a tiny bit causing a failure to chamber the next round.
Thanks for this. Thinking about a PPQ Match SF for my next purchase (I’ve been shooting my 5in PPQ M1 a bunch lately and keep thinking it’d be amazing if it were all steel) This will be helpful. Would have liked to see both types of release on the gun to get an idea of how they’d work/look. Oh and thanks for spilling blood for us!🩸
Awesome video buddy.
Mag release not legal for IDPA. Sticks out too far. Just saying
Good to see another video on the Q5 Match SF! Where did you get the extended mag release from?
lol fucking did a similar thing, stabbed my index finger!
Try using ‘Sugru’ to mold a small extension to the mag release. Very easy and cheap!
Is that a nail you have wedged in there?
thank you, I was able to switch my stock mag release to lefty so I can use my trigger finger as a righty 👍
How do you get all this off roster stuff? Are you loaded or have family out of state?
Good video, I enjoyed watching and learning from your demonstration.
😂 man you shocked me with the stab…great camera work.
First! Sweet gun as always! Your name is deceiving, I though you would talk about making fires or setting a broken arm,but it’s always guns with you. That’s one of the best things about this show! Keep up the good work! P.S. More Beretta’s please!
Nice video! Don’t get blood all over those new brass grips 🤣🤦♂️
Does that mag release affect holster compatibility? Also is it a metal or polymer part?
